TNBRD Recruitment 2022 – Tamil Nadu Board of Rural Development (TNBRD) has announced an online notification for recruitment to the post of Senior Scientist & Head/Subject Matter Specialist/Programme Assistant/Assistant/Stenographer. Educational Qualification:

Senior Scientist & Head:

Doctoral degree in Agriculture subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band‐3 of Rs. 15600‐39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/ Rs.6000/ Rs.7000/ Rs.8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.

Subject Matter Specialist:

Master’s degree in Horticulture or any other branch of science/social science relevant to Horticulture or Equivalent qualification from a recognized University.

Programme Assistant:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or any other branch of science/social science relevant to Agriculture or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.

Assistant:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.

Stenographer:

12th class pass or equivalent from recognized Board/University

Age Limit :

Senior Scientist & Head – 47 years
Subject Matter Specialist – 35 years
Programme Assistant (Computer) – 30 years
Assistant – 27 years
Stenographer – 27 years

Relaxations in upper age limit:

3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBCs)
5 years for SC/STs.
10 years for PWD candidates
Others as per govt rules

Subject Matter Specialist (Agro Meteorology):

Post Graduation degree in Agrometeorology/ Meteorology/ Agronomy or/ Agriculture Physics, but preference will be given to candidates with Agrometeorology.

Agromet Observer:

12th in Science stream along with the basic knowledge of computer operations.
