TFRI Recruitment 2025: Tropical Forest Research Institute invites applications for the Engagement of Technical Assistant/Forest Guard/Driver. There is a total of 14 vacancies for these positions. Tropical Forest Research Institute-TFRI: Tropical Forest Research Institute-TFRI is established in 1988. It is a research institute in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the eight regional institutes under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. This institute consists of 130 staff strength including 19 scientists and 42 officers.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

Technical Assistant Category II (Field/Lab.):

Bachelor’s degree in Science with Botany/Zoology/Agriculture/Forestry/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Environmental Science/Statistics (as one of the subjects) from a recognised University

Forest Guard:

12th standard pass with Science from a Government-recognised Board.
The appointee will be required to complete a Forestry training course successfully from a recognised Forest Guard training institution during the probation period.
Physical Proficiency Test and Medical standards are given below in the Exam pattern

Driver (Ordinary Grade):

Matriculation from a recognised board.
Possession of a valid driving license for motor cars.
Experience of driving a motor car for three years or more.
Desirable: Knowledge of motor mechanisms (the A candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles)

Age Limit (As on 01 July 2025):

Technical Assistant Category II (Field/Lab.): 21-30 years
Forest Guard: 18-27 years
Driver (Ordinary Grade): 18-27 years

Selection Process:

A competitive written examination will be conducted. Driving test for the post of Driver and Physical Standard Test for the Post of Forest Guard will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted in 1:10 ratio on the basis of merit of written examination.
Written examination will be conducted for all the posts either on the same date or on different dates through MP Online.
The question paper (bilingual – in English and Hindi) will have total 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying Maximum Marks 100, detailed as in the advertisement below.

Application Fee:

Rs. 700/- (Rs. Seven hundred only) + GST and exam fees (Payable category-wise) through online mode only.
Exam Fee:
- Technical Assistant: Rs.300/-
- Forest Guard: Rs. 150/-
- Driver: Rs. 150/-
Women/SC/ST/Divyangjan and Ex-servicemen are exempted from the exam fee. No other mode of payment of the application fee is acceptable except online payment.
