SNBNCBS Recruitment 2023: S.N.Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences has announced notification for the post of Driver/Attendant. There are two openings for these positions. Candidates with the qualification of 10th are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by post on or before 29 December 2023. Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Driver:
- Matriculate from a recognized Board.
- Possession of a valid driving license for motor cars (Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Light Motor Vehicle (LMV).
- Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle).
- Experience of driving a motor car for at least 3 years
Attendant:
- Matriculate from a recognized Board.
- Should be able to handle photocopier machine, fax machine, filing, dispatch, other non-clerical work in the section like, carrying of files and other papers within the building, delivering of dak (outside the campus), opening & closing of rooms, cleaning of rooms, dusting of furniture etc.
Age limit(As on 29 December 2023):
- Driver: 18 – 27 years
- Attendant: 18 – 25 years
Age relaxation:
- Age relaxation will be as per Government of India Rules for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen.
- Preference may be given to Ex-Servicemen candidates.
Salary:
- Driver: The beginning of the pay in the pay level is approximately Rs. 35,500/-Level 2 in Pay Matrix (Rs.19,900-63,200) (as per 7th CPC)
- Attendant: The beginning of the pay in the pay level is approximately Rs. 32,300/- Level 1 in Pay Matrix (Rs.18,000- 56,900) (as per 7th CPC)

- Driver: 1 post
- Attendant: 1 post (EWS)
Selection Process:
- The selection process will be based on Skill-cum Aptitude Test
- The shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for a skill-cum aptitude test
- The Centre may shortlist candidates based on submitted applications. However, the prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated is bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidates to be shortlisted. The decision of the Centre in this matter will be final
- If shortlisted, the candidates will be required to bring their last pay certificate.
