RMRCBB Recruitment 2023 notification announced for the posts of Technical Assistant/Technician/Laboratory Attendant I. There are 25 vacancies available for the posts. About RMRCBB: The Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR), Bhubaneswar is a permanent research center of the Indian Council of Medical Research. The foundation stone of the center was laid by the then prime minister of India Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi on 29th March 1981. Initially, the Center started in a small rental accommodation in 1982 and shifted to the Centre’s own building in the year 1990 after completion. The campus of RMRC is located on 20 acres of picturesque landscape in Chandrasekharpur and has its own laboratory –cum- administrative building, animal house, auditorium, guest house & research scholars’ hostel, and staff quarters.

Educational Qualification:
Technical Assistant:
Pharmacy: 1st Class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a Govt. recognized University.
Computer Science & IT:
- 1st Class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & IT from a Govt. recognized University Or
- 1st class three-year Diploma with two-year experience in a relevant field Or
- 1st class engineering/technology in a relevant subject.
Public Health: 1st Class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences (Physiotherapy, Occupational Health, Dental, Nursing) / relevant subject from a Govt. recognized University.
Microbiology: 1st Class three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology.
Life Sciences: 1st Class three Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (Zoology, Entomology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Virology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Parasitology)
Technician-1:
- 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subjects with 55% marks from a Govt. recognized Board. and
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering & Diploma in Laboratory Technology (DMLT) & Diploma in Applied Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering from a government-recognized Institute.
Laboratory Attendant I:
- 10th pass with 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board.
- One year of working experience in a Govt. recognized/approved/registered Lab or ITI in a respective field or trade certificate issued by Govt agencies.
Age Limit ( As on 27 July 2023 ):
- Technical Assistant: 30 years
- Technician I: 28 years
- Laboratory Attendant I: 25 years
Age Relaxation:
- No age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC (No creamy layer) against the Unreserved vacancies as per Govt. of India order No.36011/1/98/Estt. (Res) dated 1/7/1998.
- Central Govt. servants and departmental candidates: 40 – 45 years
- Departmental Candidates and Central Government employees: 05 years

Selection Process:
- The selection process includes a Written Test.
- The appointment will be made on the basis of the result of the competitive test.
- Candidates securing the highest marks in the written examination will be selected in order of their merit in the written examination as per the DoPT guidelines and subject to fulfilling all the eligibility criteria.
- The syllabus for the written examination will cover General Knowledge, Aptitude, Subject related and English Language.
- The date of the written test will be communicated to the eligible candidates through call letters and email only and no inquiry in this regard will be entertained.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
