Educational Qualifications:
Multi-Tasking Staff (Post Code M 01)
- 10th/Matriculation or its equivalent pass as per the prescribed norms fixed by DoPT from time to time
Multi-Tasking Staff (Post Code M 02 to 07)
- ITI pass in relevant trades
- Electrician
- Carpenter
- Fitter
- Plumber
- Air Condition (AC) & Refrigeration
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)
Upper Age Limit (As on 06 February 2026): 18 – 25 years
Age Relaxations:
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC(NCL) asperGovernment of India orders in force only in those cases where the post is reserved for respectivecategories, on production of relevant certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority.
- There is no age limit for CSIR departmental candidates provided they possess the prescribedqualification. CSIR departmental candidates mean the permanent CSIR employees onlyandnotthe temporary/contractual/project staff etc.
- Age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women and Women judicially separated fromHusbandswho are not remarried: the upper age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years (upto40yearsfor members of SC/ST in respect of the posts reserved for them)
- Age relaxation for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD): Age relaxation of 10years(15years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC (NCL) candidates

Selection Process of CSIR NML Recruitment:
- The selection will be made based on the merit list of Competitive Written Examination.
- Only the candidates so shortlisted shall be allowed to appear in the Competitive Written Examination

Competitive Written Examination for the post of Multi Tasking Staff will consist of only one paper, with four (04) parts as detailed below:
