Educational Qualifications:
- Junior Engineer (Scientific): Full-time/Part-time degree in B.Sc. Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry
- Junior Engineer (Microbiology): Full-time/Part-time degree in B.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Full-time/Part-time Diploma in Mechanical/ Production/ Manufacturing Engineering (Desirable – NDT Level 2 certification)
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Full-time/Part-time Diploma in Civil Engineering
Period of Engagement: The period of engagement is purely on Fixed Term Employment basis for a period of Three Years from the date of joining.

- Junior Engineer (Scientific): 30 Years (General (UR)/EWS)
- Junior Engineer (Microbiology): 33 Years (OBC (NCL))

Age Relaxation – NLC Careers:
- The Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 Years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (13 years for PwBD-OBC & 15 years for PwBD-SC).

Selection Process for NLC Careers:
- Selection will be based on a Written Test.
- The Question Paper will consist of two parts; Part-I with 30 questions of General Aptitude comprising of Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness (at Diploma/degree level as the case may be) and Part-II with 70 Questions on subject knowledge totally 100 objective type questions with multiple-choice answers.
- Date/Venue for the Written Test will be communicated to the candidates through NLCIL’s website besides e-mail to their registered e-mail address and message through SMS to their Registered Mobile Number
- The question Paper for the Written Test will be in English language and will have 100 objective-type questions carrying an equal 01 mark each, with no negative marks for wrong answer.
- The duration of Written Test will be 120 minutes
- Final selection will be in the order of merit based on the overall total score of marks obtained in written test by the candidates (plus Bonus marks awarded in case of PAP candidates), ensuring due reservation for SC/OBC-NCL/ PwBD categories

- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates: Rs. 295/- (Processing Fee)
