About NIPGR: The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (formerly known as the National Centre for Plant Genome Research) is an autonomous institution aided by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Scientist – VI:

Technician – I:

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- Essential:
- Applicants must hold an M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a minimum of 60% (or equivalent) in their Master’s degree.
- Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of postmaster’s experience and must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by DST/DBT
- Desirable:
- Candidates should have hands-on experience in RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qRT-PCR Analysis and comprehensive microscopic training. Previous knowledge of molecular biology-related experiments, especially protein-related work and experience working with crop species.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience in root nodule symbiosis and a track record of publications in a similar field.
- Duration: The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority
Project Description: The selected candidate is expected to study the role of high-temperature stress in root nodule symbiosis in chickpeas. The candidate will be doing extensive molecular biology and a part of silicon studies in chickpea
