Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a project entitled “Lignin valorization via biomaterial development, depolymerisation and green technology” sponsored by Department of Biotechnology Ministry of Science and Technology, (Govt. of India), New Delhi [GP-479] under Prof. Abhay H. Educational Qualification:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• M. Sc. In Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology OR M.S. (Pharm.)/M. Pharm./M. Tech. in Biotechnology.
• Minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General category/OBC, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination and NET / GATE / CSIR / UGC / ICMR / DBT or any other relevant/equivalent nature of test qualified.
• Desired Qualifications: Hands-on experience in protein expression from prokaryotic/eukaryotic cells, protein purification, ELISA, SPR, cellular assays, and basic molecular biology techniques, etc.

Tenure of the position: The position is purely on a temporary basis initially for a period of 1 (one) year, extendable on an annual basis for subsequent years subjected to satisfactory progress of the candidate, institutional needs, and financial provisions and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
