NFC Recruitment 2026: The Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) has announced a job notification for the Scientific Officer (C)/Nurse (A)/Scientific Assistant (B)/Pharmacist (B)/Technician(B) posts. There are 18 vacancies available for this post. Candidates with the qualifications of B.Sc/DNM/DMLT/MBBS are eligible to apply for this job. Detailed Eligibility for NFC Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Scientific Officer (C) (General Duty Medical Officer):
- M.B.B.S. from a recognised University with valid registration with the Medical Council of India
- Minimum 1 year after completion of M.B.B.S.
- Mandatory internship shall not be counted as experience.
Nurse(A):
- XII Standard and Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3-year course) OR B.Sc.(Nursing) OR
- Nursing ‘A’ Certificate with 3 years of experience in the Armed Forces Hospital OR
- Nursing Assistant Class III & above from the Armed Forces.
Note: Valid registration as a nurse from any Central / State Nursing Council of India is mandatory for all.
Scientific Assistant(B) (Radiographer):
- Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. (Radiography) OR
- Minimum 50% marks in B.Sc. and 1 year Diploma in Radiography
Scientific Assistant (B) (Pathology Technician):
- B.Sc. with minimum 60% marks followed by post graduate Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) with minimum 60% marks OR
- B.Sc.(MLT) with a minimum 60% marks.
Pharmacist (B):
- HSC (10+2) + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council
Technician(B) (X-ray Technician):
- Minimum 60% in HSC (Science) and a one-year Medical Radiography / X-ray Technique Trade certificate from a recognised institution.
Age Limit (As on 18 April 2026):
- Scientific Officer (C) (General Duty Medical Officer): 18 – 35 Years
- Nurse (A): 18 – 30 Years
- Scientific Assistant(B) (Radiographer): 18 – 30 Years

Age Relaxation:
- OBC: 03 years

Selection Process for NFC Careers:
For Post Codes 12601, 12603 and 12604:
- Selection will be only on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview.
- Method of Screening Test:
- 75 multiple choice questions with negative marking
- Three (03) marks will be awarded for correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
- Duration of examination will be 90 minutes.
For Post Codes 12602, 12605 and 12606:
- The Process of selection involves three stages i.e.,
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Test,
- Stage 2 – Advanced Test
- Stage 3 – Skill Test.
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Test (one-hour duration) and Stage 2 – Advanced Test (two-hours duration) will be conducted in a single session as Section A and Section B.
Stage 1 – Preliminary Test:
- Screening examination (OMR-based) will be held to shortlist candidates.
- The format of screening examination shall be common for all disciplines and will be in the following format:
- Examination comprises 50 Multiple Choice Questions (choice of 4 answers) of one hour duration in the following proportion:
- Mathematics – 20 Questions
- Science – 20 Questions
- General Awareness – 10 Questions
- Three (3) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and One (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates scoring <40% in General Category and <30% in reserved categories will be screened out.
Stage 2 – Advanced Test:
- Response sheets of the Stage 2 – Advanced test will be evaluated only of those candidates who qualify in Stage 1 – Preliminary Test.
- The test will comprise of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (choice of 4 answers) with three (3) marks awarded for each correct answer and one (1) mark deducted for
each incorrect answer. Test will be of two hours duration. - Candidates scoring <30% in General Category and <20% in reserved categories will be screened out.
- A Merit List of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2 based upon the scores obtained in Stage-2 only.
Stage 3 – Skill Test:
- Based on the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates in each post will be shortlisted for Skill Test
- The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying in Stage-2 but shall not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies for the post.
- The Skill Test will be conducted on a “Go / No-Go” basis for qualifying the candidate.
- Candidates clearing the Skill Test will be shortlisted and empanelled in the order of merit based on marks secured in Stage 2 – Advance Test.
