Nabarangpur District Court – Nabarangpur District is located in the southern part of Odisha, it was separated from the revenue district on 2nd October 1992. Sri Bibhu Prasad Routray LLB was the first district judge of judgeship of Nabarangpur, science 1986 it was functioning in a portion of the building of the sub-collector, Nabarangpur. Besides these courts in the headquarters, the court of judicial magistrate First Class Umerkote was established; these two courts are sitting 52 km away from the district headquarters.

Detailed Eligibility for Nabarangpur District Court Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Stenographer Grade – III/Jr. Clerk-cum-Copyist/Jr. Typist:

  • Candidates shall have passed at least a +3 examination or such other qualification equivalent to a +3 examination of a recognized university.
  • Candidates shall have at least passed a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Institute;
  • Candidates should speak, read and write Odia and must have passed at least a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. standard
  • For the post of Junior Typist: Candidates must know typewriting and will possess a minimum speed of 40 words in English Typewriting per minute. He shall be given a written passage containing 400 words in English, which he shall reproduce by typing through Computer System in 10 minutes.
  • For Stenographers Grade-III: The Candidate should know shorthand and have to possess a minimum speed of 80 words  in shorthand and 40 words in English Typewriting per minute

Age Limit (As on 22 June 2024): 18 to 32 years

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit for reserved categories of candidates shall be relaxed by the provisions of the relevant Act, Rules, Orders or instructions for the time being in force for the respective reserved categories.

  • Stenographer Grade-III: Rs.25,500/- to 81,100/-month

Selection Process for Nabarangpur District Court Careers:

  • The selection process will be based on a written test.
  • The candidates who have qualified in the written test, shall be called for Computer Science (Practical) and shorthand/type writing tests as the case may be, the candidates selected in the practical tests shall be called for viva voce test.
  • The typewriting test shall be held using the computer system.
  • The examination date shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due time.

  • Two self-signed recent passport size photographs, one of such photographs shall be pasted on the application form in the space provided for it.
  • Self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of educational qualification (i.e) H.S.C., +2 and +3 Examination.
  • Self-attested copy of Certificate and Marksheet of Diploma in Computer Application.
    Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate in case of Reserved Category.
  • Attested copy of Medical Certificate issued by the competent Medical Authority Board in case of Physically/Orthopedically Handicapped person
  • Two original Character Certificates issued by two Gazetted Officers/Medical Practitioner/Sarpanch etc.
  • Two self-addressed envelopes (stamped with Rs. 30/- each) of size 23 x 10 CMs.
  • Self-attested copy of Employment Exchange Registration Number.
  • Self-attested copy of Shorthand/Type writing Certificate issued by a recognized institution (for Jr. Stenographer (Gr-HI)/Jr. Typist).


  • The Candidates are required to mention the name of the post in Capital Letters with underline on the top of their respective applications and on the top of the envelope containing their applications.
  • The Candidates are required to submit separate applications for each category of post applied for furnishing relevant documents therewith.
