Educational Qualification:
- Graduates of a recognised University/Institution with basic Computer Knowledge (e.g. CCC Certificate etc.)
Age Limit (as on as on 22.08.2019): 38 years
Age relaxable by:
- 41 years for OBC
- 43 years for ST/SC
Category Wise Vacancies:

Manipur Secretariat Recruitment Selection Process for Stenographer:
- Selection will be based on the written test and shorthand test.
- Candidates should come through Employment Exchange.
- Only those candidates who have been declared successful in the written test will be allowed to sit in the Computer Practical Test.
- Again, those who are successful in the computer Practical Test shall be allowed to appear in the Shorthand Test
Written Test:
- General English, Precis writing, & Essay – 100 marks (2 hours) and pass mark is 30%
- General Knowledge – 50 marks (1 1/2 hours) and pass mark is 30%
- Computer (Practical) – 50 marks (1 1/2 hours) and pass mark is 30%
Shorthand Test (English): 65 words per minutes (60 words per minutes for SC/ST)

- For Unreserved Category – Rs.500/-
- For SC/ST /PWD – Rs.300/-
