Detailed Eligibility – Kochi Water Metro Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Assistant Boat Master:
- 12th or 10th with ITI (Metric)
- Master Class 3 Certificate (In compliance with IVrules 2022).
- Desirable: ITI/ Diploma in Automobile/ Mech/ Electrical/ Electronics
- Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in sea going/ inlandvessels, out of which 2 years post certification experience as Serang /Master Class
Boat Operator:
- 12th or 10th with ITI (Metric)
- Engine Driver Class 2 (in compliance with IVRules) & Serang/Master Class
- Certificate (Incompliance with IV rules 2022)
- Desirable: ITI/ Diploma in Automobile/ Mech/ Electrical/Electronics
- Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in sea going/ inlandvessels, out of which 2 years post certificationexperience as Engineer Driver Class 2 / BoatEngineer/ Operator in sea or inland vessels.
Electrician:
- ITI (2 Years) in Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation
- Minimum 3 years post qualification experience inElectrical field in Boat/Ship/Shipyard/HT ElectricalSystems
Fitter- Mechanical:
- ITI/ITC Fitter/ Mechanic (Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in thearea of erection , repair and maintenance of pumps ,diesel generator, compressor, marine engines/refrigeration and Air-Conditioning in relevant field including Shipyard / Engineering company /Government/semi government Establishment
Fitter- FRP:
- ITI/ITC
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in thearea of FRP related works in relevant field includingShipyard / Engineering company/ Government/ semigovernment Establishment.
Engineer (Electrical&Electronics):
- B.E./ B. Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical/ Electrical &Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/Institute.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience inElectrical/ Electronics field in a Boat/Ships/Shipyard .
Terminal Controller:
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Science/IT
- Desirable: B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation / Computer Science/ IT from a recognized university/ Institute.
- Experience:
- Experience in the relevant field covering operation/maintenance/ construction of Boat / Ships / Intelligent Transport Systems / Automatic Fare Collection systems / Electrical Systems.
- Minimum 3 years post qualification experience for B.Tech and minimum 5 Years post qualificationexperience for Diploma holders.
Fleet Manager (Maintenance):
- Degree/ Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/ Naval Architecture
- MEO Class 1 or Master Certificate (FG)
- Experience: Minimum 12 years (after acquiring Degree/Diploma) of shipyardexperience or Operation & Maintenance experience on BoardShips
Duration: Initially for a period of one yearand extendable further based on performance at the sole discretion of Management

Kochi Water Metro Project – an integrated Water Transport System envisaged to connect the mainland with the islands around the Kochi lagoon through a Modern Water Transport system.
