Detailed Eligibility Criteria for IIGM Careers:
Educational Qualifications:
Project Associate-I:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Physics/ Space Physic
- Desirable: Experience in ground/space-based data analysis. Programming in Matlab/C/C++/IDL/Python
Project Associate-I:
- Essential: B.E. EEE/ECE
- Desirable:
- Hands-on Experience in SMD component soldering and desoldering.
- Sensor and electronic console/panel assembly.
- Operating knowledge of electronic Lab Instruments like Oscilloscopes, LCR Multimeters, Waveform generators, etc
Research Associate-I:
- Essential: PhD (Submitted/awarded) Atmospheric Physics.
- Desirable: Knowledge of computer modelling, analyzing satellite data sets and atmospheric modelling
Project Associate-I: Master’s degree in Geophysics
Project Associate-I:
- Essential: B. Tech/ B. E. in Electronics & Communication/Electronics
- Desirable:
- Experience in the Design & Development of RF amplifiers, Analog and digital systems. RF amplifier design and simulation using HFSS/CST/AWR/COMSOL or equivalent.
- Hands on knowledge of VNA, spectrum analyzer and other RF Test and Measurement Instruments.
- Digital Signal Processing techniques, digital filter design and implementation in embedded system platforms such as FPGA/ARM-based processors. Programming knowledge in C, C++, or Python. Working knowledge of embedded software.
- Oscilloscopes, LCR multitimeters, Waveform generators, etc. multitimeters, Waveform generators, etc.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- Master Degree: First-class Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics/Marine Geology.
- Graduation Degree: First-class Bachelor’s degree, with Physics or Math as one of the subjects.
Research Associate-I:
- Essential: Ph.D awarded/submitted in Geophysics (Preferably in seismology)
- Desirable: Knowledge in Python, C++ and FORTRAN in LINUX Environment
Age Limit: 35 years
Age Relaxation:
- The age relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST and upto 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD
Salary for IIG Mumbai Recruitment:
- Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000/- or 31,000/-
- Research Associate-I: Rs. 58,000/-
- JRF: Rs. 37,000/-

Selection Process of IIGM Recruitment 2025:
- The selection is based on the walk-in interview.
