Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers: IFB Goa Recruitment 2019 invites application for the post of Technical Assistant/ Craft Instructor/ Others. Only 14 vacancies are available for this post. Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers: In the light of directives of the Govt of India and the recommendations of the 24th Session of the Labour Ministers Conference, Govt of Goa, Daman and Diu decided to bifurcate the Factory and Boiler Inspectorate from the Office of the Commissioner, Employment and Labour and to create a new Office of the Government to be named as the “Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers”. This Department is headed by the Chief Inspector of Factories & Boilers, who also acts as an Ex-Officio Joint Secretary to the Government.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
For Technical Assistant:
- Degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety of one-year duration awarded by recognized Board /
University / Institute. - Knowledge of Konkani
For Craft Instructor (Boiler):
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution.
- Two years of teaching/workshop experience.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Curator:
- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
- Two years experience in maintenance of library and stores.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Audiometry Technician:
- B.Sc. in Audiology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Labour Inspector (Engineering):
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Two years of the workshop experience.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Labour Inspector (Chemical):
- M.Sc. in Physical / Analytical / Inorganic Chemistry from a recognized University or
equivalent. - Knowledge of Konkani
For Laboratory Technician:
- S.S.C. or equivalent with Chemistry as one of the subject.
- Laboratory Technicians course from any Government recognized Institution.
- Two years of practical experience as a Laboratory Technician with concerned subjects in
any reputed organization. - Knowledge of Konkani
For ECG Technician:
- S.S.C. or equivalent.
- Experience in handling electric cardiograph and other medical electronic equipment in a recognized Institution / Hospital.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Jr. Stenographer:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized
Institution. - Should be Computer literate.
- Speed of 100 words per minute in Short Hand and 35 words per minute in typewriting.
- Successful completion of pre-employment training under the Pre-employment Training Scheme conducted by the Government of Goa.
- Knowledge of Konkani
For Lower Division Clerk:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Should be Computer literate. - Successful completion of pre-employment training under the Pre-employment
Training Scheme conducted by the Government of Goa. - Knowledge of Konkani
For Multi Tasking Staff:
- Passed Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized Board /
Institution. (OR) - Passed Course conducted by Industrial Training Institute or equivalent qualification in
relevant trade from recognized Institution. - Knowledge of Konkani
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Age Limit(As on 30 August 2019):
- For General: Not exceeding 45 years
- For OBC: Not exceeding 48 years
- For Ex-Servicemen: An Ex-Servicemen shall deduct the period of actual military service from the actual age and the result age shall not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post (45 years) by more than three years

Selection Process:
- The selection will be based on the written test
- For the post of Stenographer, they conduct a skill test only for the shortlisted candidates in the written test.
- The written test will be of Objective type for 100 marks.
- The minimum passing percentage for written test shall be 65 per cent of the total marks for the unreserved posts and 60 per cent of the total marks for the reserved posts.
- Date, time and venue of written test/skill test will be communicated to the candidates in advance along with Hall Ticket
