Detailed Eligibility – IASRI Vacancy 2024:

Educational Qualification:

Project Title: Genomic Selection Accuracy for Key Quality Traits in Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.).

Project Associate-1:

Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent

Project Title: Genomic Prediction for Micro-nutritional Traits in Bread Wheat under Lal Bahadur Shastri Out Standing Young Scientist Award Scheme.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):

Master’s degree in Computational Biology/Agricultural Statistics/ Bioinformatics with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree OR
Candidates having a Master’s degree in basic sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s Degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. OR
PhD in Computational Biology/Agricultural Statistics/Bioinformatics or equivalent

Desirable:

Sound knowledge of programming in R and Python, Expertise in handling high dimensional data.
Experienced in the development of web servers.
Knowledge in genomic selection prediction Knowledge in Bioinformatics Computational Biology from a recognized University.

Duration:

The positions are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and initially offered for one year or till project duration, whichever is earlier.
Subject to the performance of the candidate, the period of appointment may be extended year to year basis till the completion of the project

Age Limit (As on 08 November 2024): Should be not more than 35 years

Age Relaxation:

Five years of relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates
Three years for OBC candidates

Salary Details:

Project Associate-1: Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA
Senior Research Fellow:
- 1st & 2nd year: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
- 3rd year: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA

Selection Process of IASRI Jobs:

The selection process will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
Candidates can give the Interview in English/Hindi language
The interview will be held via video conferencing.
Depending upon the number of applications received, the process of shortlisting the candidates may be done.
The number of candidates called for the interview will be 10 times per post.
After scrutiny of applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the time, link and other instructions before the Interview via e-mail
