Educational Qualification:
Project Title: Integrating whole genome resequencing, transcriptome sequencing and genome-wide association analysis for allele mining of yield and quality traits in black pepper and cardamom
Young Professional-II:
Essential:
- Graduate in computer science/ Computer Engineering/Science/ Biotechnology or equivalent OR
- Master’s degree in computer science/ Computer Engineering/ MCA/ Bioinformatics/Life Science/ Biotechnology or equivalent
Desirable: Experience in website, portal development, mobile application development, and management; Computer expert for database development and development of image analysis algorithms, APIs and IAPs.
Duration:
- The positions are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and initially offered for one year or till project duration, whichever is earlier.
- Subject to the performance of the candidate, the period of appointment may be extended year to year basis till the completion of the project
Age Limit (As on 14 October 2024): Should not be less than 21 years and not more than 45 years
Age Relaxation:
- Five years of relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates
- Three years for OBC candidates
Salary Details: Rs. 42,000/- per month

Research Associate:
Essential:
- PhD in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Agricultural Statistics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application or equivalent. OR
- Master’s in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics’ Computer Science/Computer Application or equivalent with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least 03 years of research experience as evidenced by fellowship/associateship/training/other engagements.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of NGS Data Analysis, Statistical and Computational Genomics/ Bioinformatics
- Knowledge of computer programming, LINUX OS
- Expertise in the use of R/other Bioinformatics software
