Gajapati District Court Recruitment 2023 โ Gajapati District Court has announced a notification for the recruitment to the post of Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist/Junior Typist/Stenographer. There are 10 vacancies to be filled for this post. The educational qualification of the candidates must be +3 Examination/ Diploma. Interested candidates who are all eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before 25 August 2023. The detailed eligibility and selection process are given below.
About Gajapati District Court: This area originally was under the Madra Presidency, a Princely State. There is no evidence, by historians to show that there was any Raja governing this Khemundi area. In 12th century the Kalachuris were in occupancy of Khemundi area. The war between the Gajapaties of Ganja Vansa and Kalachuries continue from 1110 till 1238. During the period of war Kalachuris were actually possession of this area. But in the war of 1238 the Kalacheris lost and Maharaja Anaga Bhima Deva reigned over this area as well as South Koshala.

Educational Qualification:
Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist:
- The candidates have passed at least the +3 examination or such other qualification as are equivalent to +3 examination of a recognized university, as the case may be;
- The candidates have at least passed Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) or equivalent from a recognised institution;
- To be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed a Test in Odia language equivalent to M.E. standard;
- Tobe is of good character;
- To be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity;
- Have not more than one spouse living, if married;
- There should not be any criminal proceedings pending against him/her
Junior Typist:
- The candidates have passed at least the +3 examination or such other qualification as are equivalent to +3 examination of a recognized university, as the case may be;
- The candidates have at least passed Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) or equivalent from a recognised institution;
- To be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed a Test in Odia language equivalent to M.E. standard;
- Tobe is of good character;
- To be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity;
- Have not more than one spouse living, if married;
- There should not be any criminal proceedings pending against him/her
- The Candidate must have passed Typing from a registered institute and have possessed a minimum speed of 40 words per minute in Typewriting in English;
- There should not be any criminal proceeding pending against him/her
Stenographer Grade III:
- The candidates have passed at least the +3 examination or such other qualification as are equivalent to +3 examination of a recognized university, as the case may be;
- The candidates have at least passed Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) or equivalent from a recognised institution;
- To be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed a Test in Odia language equivalent to M.E. standard;
- Tobe is of good character;
- To be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity;
- Have not more than one spouse living, if married;
- There should not be any criminal proceedings pending against him/her
- The Candidate must have passed Stenography and Typing from a registered institute and have possessed a minimum speed of 80 words in shorthand and 40 words in Typewriting, in English per minute;
- There should not be any criminal proceedings pending against him/her
Age Limit(as on 25 August 2023): 18 to 38 years
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC, ST, SEBC and Women Candidates;
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years in the case of Physically Handicapped Candidates.
- For Ex-Serviceman, after deducting the period of service rendered in Armed Forces from the present age, the resultant age should not exceed 38 years

- Shorthand & Typewriting Test will be held after the publication of result of the Written Test and the typewriting test shall be held through Computer System
- The syllabus for the examination is as provided in the Orissa District and Civil Courtsโ Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008 and amendments made thereto
Viva-Voce Test: To test and assess the suitability of a candidate for the post with particular reference to the candidateโs alertness, general outlook and potential qualities.
- The candidates, who have qualified in the written test, shall be called for typewriting test in case of Typist and be called for shorthand and Type writing test in case of Stenographer.
- The candidates selected in the aforesaid test as applicable to Typist/Stenographer shall be called for the test of Computer Science (Practical Test) and the candidates selected in the Computer Science (Practical Test) shall be called for Viva voce Test.
- The venue, date & time of examination shall be decided later on by the District Recruitment Committee.
