Selection Process of EPFO Recruitment 2023:
- The selection process involves a written test for both the posts of Social Security Assistant & Stenographer.
- Shortlisted candidates should appear for a Computer skill test for Social Security Assistant and a stenography test for Stenographers.
EPFO Exam Pattern 2023:
Social Security Assistant
It consists of two phases: the written and Computer Skill Tests.
Phase 1 – As of the written test, there are 150 questions, each with four marks resulting in a total of 600 marks. Negative marking is there ( 1 mark per question). English comprehension will be objective-type questions. The duration of the examination is 2 Hours and 30 minutes.
Phase 2 – Computer Skill Test requires the candidates to have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English / 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer.

Stenographer
It also comprises two phases – a written test & skill test in stenography.
Phase 1 – The written test comprises 200 questions, each carrying 4 marks for a total of 800 marks in a duration of 2 Hours 10 minutes. All the questions will be objective-type questions. There is a negative marking ( 1 mark for each wrong answer).
Phase 2 – The stenography test includes Dictation & Transcription. Dictation will be for ten minutes at the rate of eighty words per minute. Transcription will be for Fifty minutes (English) / Sixty-five minutes (Hindi). Both will be computer-based tests.
