DCIL Recruitment 2024 – Detailed Eligibility:
Dredging Corporation of India Vacancy – Educational Qualification:
Dredge Cadets:
- Should have completed a Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) from Institutes approved by D.G.Shipping
1st class Inland Master:
- COC as Inland Master 1st class
2nd class Inland Master:
- COC as Inland Master 2nd class
Note:
- Candidates, who have already acquired COC as Dredge Mate Gr. I /2nd Mate (FG) /NWKO(NCV)and also who are about to obtain the said COC are not eligible to apply for DNS cadet.
- The period of onboard training will be 21 months for Dredge Cadets. The training may be extended /curtailed based on the Corporation’s/ DG Shipping requirement.
Dredging Corporation of India – Stipend:
- Dredge Cadets: During the training period Dredge Cadets will be paid a stipend of Rs.15000/- per month plus victualling allowance @Rs.600 per day Candidates selected as Dredge Cadets will have to execute a Bank guarantee of three lakhs or the same amount to be deposited with DCI to serve DCI for a period of five years after completion of requisite training period and obtaining CoC
- 1st class Inland Master/2nd class Inland Master: Wages are negotiable

- Dredge Cadets: 13 Posts (UR-04,OBC-03, SC-02, ST-03, EWS-01)
- 1st class Inland Master: 03 Posts
- 2nd class Inland Master: 03 Posts
Selection Process of DCIL Careers:
For the Trainee posts viz. Dredge Cadets
- The selection is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification mentioned above and performance in Interview for Dredge Cadets
- Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the Management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient number of candidates/any other reason what-so-ever.
- The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates/testimonials
For 1st class Inland Master/2nd class Inland Master:
- The selection is based on performance in the Interview

- Indian CDC, INDOS and Indian Passport
- Community certificate (applicable in the case of SC/ST/OBC) EWS, certificate in the prescribed format which has been uploaded with the detailed advertisement. In case, the community certificate is issued in any language other than English, an English version of the same, duly signed and notarised should be produced
- Declaration to be submitted by the OBC candidate, that they do not fall under creamy layer in addition to Community certificate
- Diploma in Nautical Science from Institutes approved by DG shipping
