DRDO NSTL Careers – Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in relevant professional course (B.E/B.Tech) with first division and a valid NET/GATE score. OR
• Post Graduate degree in relevant professional course (M.E/M.Tech) with first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
• Subject/ Disciplines:
  • Mechanical Engg
  • Electronics/ Electronics & Comm. Engg.
  • Computer Science Engg.
  • Instrumentation Engg. /Electronics & Instrumentation Engg

Notes:

• Valid NET/GATE score is essential for B.E./ B. Tech candidates.
• The Degree and Post Graduate Degree should be in same Discipline (Branch/Subject)

Age Limit (As on 26 February 2026 ): 28 years

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit shall be relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Stipend Details: Rs. 37,000/- + House Rent Allowance as admissible as per rules.

Selection Process for DRDO NSTL Careers:

• The selection process will be based on Walk-in-Interview
• A written test consisting of Objective-type Multiple Choice Questions will be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview, if necessary
• Based on the performance of candidates in the interview, a panel of selected candidates will be prepared for the available vacancies and future anticipated vacancies.
• The panel would operate for a period of one year from the date of the interview.

Examination Fees:

• Examination Fee of Rs. 10/-
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC are exempted from this payment.
