DRDO NSTL Recruitment 2025: The Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), an Indian defence laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced notification for the Junior Research Fellow post. Educational Qualifications:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Mechanical Engineering
- Graduate Degree in professional course B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical Engg.) in first division with a valid NET/GATE score. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in professional course M.E./M.Tech. (Mechanical Engg.) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Electronics
- Graduate Degree in professional course B.E./B.Tech. (Electronics) in first division with a valid NET/GATE score. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in professional course M.E./M.Tech. (Electronics) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Naval Architecture
- Graduate Degree in professional course B.E./B.Tech. (Naval Architecture) in first division with a valid NET/GATE score. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in professional course M.E./M.Tech. (Naval Architecture) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Aerospace/CFD
- Graduate Degree in professional course B.E./B.Tech. (Aeronautic/Aerospace) in first division with a valid NET/GATE score. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in professional course M.E./M.Tech. (Aerospace/Propulsion Engg./CFD) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Computer Science
- Graduate Degree in professional course B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engg./Information Technology) in first division with a valid NET/GATE score. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in professional course M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science & Engg./Information Technology) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Note:
- Valid NET/GATE score is essential for B.E./ B.Tech. /M.Sc. candidates.
- The Degree and Post Graduate Degree should be in same Discipline (Branch/Subject)
Duration: The tenure of Apprenticeship Training for the above trades would be 12 months, commencing from execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship.

Selection Process for DRDO NSTL Careers:
- The selection process will be based on Walk-in-Interview
- A written test consisting of Objective type Multiple Choice Questions will be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview, if necessary
- Based on the performance of candidates in the interview, a panel of selected candidates will be prepared for the available vacancies and future anticipated vacancies.
- The panel would operate for a period of one year from the date of the interview.

- Examination Fee of Rs. 10/-
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC are exempted from this payment.
