DFR: Establishing an independent institute, ‘The Directorate of Floricultural Research’ by ICAR at Pusa, New Delhi, was a positive step to strengthen the existing AICRP network on Floriculture and make them more focused and research-oriented. With the help of the AICRP network, the newly established Directorate of Floricultural Research is playing an important role in strengthening floricultural research and augmenting the technological base in floriculture in different regions of the country.

Educational Qualification:
Young Professional-II:
- Eligibility: M.Sc in Horticulture/Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
- Desirable: Lab experience in culturing and characterization of microorganisms and tissue culture.
Job profile:
- To carry out research and developmental works at ICAR-DFR Regional Station, Vemagiri, per ICAR-DFR, Pune (HQ’s) guidelines.
- To assist the scientists in the execution of planned works and research experiments and in monitoring the work of contractual manpower/labour.
- To liaise with ICAR-DFR Pune (HQs) scientists by reporting the work regularly.
- To do any job assigned by the Director/ concerned scientist occasionally.
Duration: For 01 year only from the date of joining.
Age Limit: Between 21- 45 years
Total Vacancies: 01 Posts
Salary: Rs. 35,000/-
