CAMPCO: The Late Sri Varanashi Subraya Bhat founded the organisation in 1973 in Mangalore as The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited or CAMPCO. This was in response to the sufferings of Arecanut and Cocoa growers in Karnataka and Kerala. Arecanut is an important commercial crop in the Western districts of Karnataka and almost all the districts of Kerala. When there was a steep fall in the price of Arecanut between 1970 and 1973, Sri. Subraya Bhat mobilized the Arecanut farmers of the two states of Karnataka and Kerala and promoted Campco. Under his leadership, CAMPCO succeeded in uplifting the areca nut market and, to this day, ensures that the farmers get a very good return on their crops. Sri. Subraya Bhat worked as the President of CAMPCO from its inception in 1973 to the end of December 1990.

Detailed Eligibility of CAMPCO Mangalore Recruitment:
Educational Qualification:
Junior Assistant Executive-I (A/M)-Trainee: Degree preferably B.Com/B.Sc/ BA/BBM from a recognised University with Tally knowledge.
Junior Assistant Executive (Steno/Personal Assistant):
- Essential: Degree from a recognized University with a Senior in English, Shorthand & Typewriting and Junior in Kannada Shorthand & Typewriting of KSEB. OR
- Degree with a Diploma in Secretarial Practice with computer knowledge.
- Experience: Minimum 02 years experience.
Duration for CAMPCO Chocolate Factory Recruitment: Candidate shall undergo training for 02 years (which is extendable).
Age Limit(As of 01 December 2023):
- 32 years: General category
- 35 years: SC/ST
Salary for CAMPCO Mangalore Recruitment:
Junior Assistant Executive-I (A/M)-Trainee: During the 1st year, a stipend of Rs.20,000/- pm, and in the 2nd year, Rs. 22,000/-pm will be paid. After 02 years of satisfactory training, they will be absorbed as “Jr.Assistant Executive-1 (A/M)” with a minimum Basic Salary of Rs.27,650/-PM in the salary range of Rs.27,650/- (minimum) & Rs.52,650/- (maximum) plus other allowances under Package System. Gross emoluments come to around Rs.45,706/- in the present rate as applicable.
Junior Assistant Executive (Steno/Personal Assistant): Starting Basic SalaryRs.27,650/ in the salary range of Rs.27,650/- (minimum) & Rs.52,650/- (maximum) plus other allowances under the Package System. Gross emoluments come to around Rs.48,138/- at the present rate applicable to Mangaluru City.
