Educational Qualification:

Project Title: Identifying Genetic Factors Involved in the Interplay Between Sleep Quality and Well-Being: A Comprehensive Study in Representative West Bengal Population

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

Essential qualifications: Master’s degree in Physics
NET (JRF/Lecturership) and/or GATE qualification
Desirable qualifications: The JRF is expected to work in topics related to Statistical Physics and candidates with expertise in the subject will be preferred.
The project will involve heavy computational work. Knowledge of Fortran/C++/Python is essential.
Experience in conducting numerical simulations will be considered as added qualification.

Project tenure: 3 years; up to 31 December 2026

Age Limit:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 28 Years

Age Relaxation: The age limit is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/Divyangjan (PWD) and female applicants whereas 3 years in the case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).
