Educational Qualification:
Rifleman/Riflewoman (General Duty) (Sports Person):
- Matriculation from a recognised Board.
- Sports Qualifications: Players who have participated in any International Competition/ National Competitions/Inter-University Tournaments/National Sports/ Games for Schools/ Khelo India University Games/ Khelo India Youth Games/ Khelo India Winter Games.
Competent Authorities to Award Certificates for the various Sports Competitions:

Selection Process of Assam Rifles Vacancy 2026:
- The selection process will be based on Candidate Verification, initial Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), Conduct of Motor Ability Test (MAT), Conduct of Field Trial, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- PET will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in the initial verification of the documents.
- Candidate Verification: The candidates in possession of valid call letters and photo ID proof like Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card will only be permitted to enter in the recruitment rally site.
- Initial Documentation: All candidates will have to undergo documentation, in which candidates will have to produce all original documents / certificates pertaining to age, education, caste (in case of availing age relaxation), sports and domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
- The candidates found eligible in initial verification and documentation will only ie permitted to undergo Physical Standard Test, MAT and Field Trial
- Conduct of Motor Abilitv Test (MAT): The MAT in all sports disciplines will be conducted by a Board of Officers at rally site as per norms of Lakshmibai National Gollege of Physical Education (LNCPe) manual of Sports Authority of lndia (SAl).
- Final Selection/Entry in Service: Final selection will be done on the basis of achievements and performance in Field Trials and level of participation.
- For detailed Physical Standard Test (PST), Conduct of Field Trial, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) refer to the official notification.
Application Fee:
- The General and OBC category candidates will pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees one hundred only).
- No fee is charged from candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Female candidates.
