Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited(UPMRCL) invites online applications from interested and eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Manager/Junior Engineer/Station Controller cum Train Operator/Account Assistant/Office Assistant/Public Relation Assistant/Maintainer in the relevant field. This post of UPMRCL Jobs is for freshers. About UP Metro Rail: Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), formerly Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, is a joint venture company that operates the Lucknow Metro in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Note:

Training & Probation:

Age Limit(As on 01 March 2024): 21 to 28 years

Age Relaxation:

  • Upper age relaxation by five years for Uttar Pradesh SC/ST/OBC candidates for reserved posts only.
  • If any SC/ST/OBC candidate avails the benefit of age relaxation, he will be considered against the Reserved post only.
  • Only candidates of UP domicile are entitled to such relaxation. The upper age for Ex-servicemen (ExSM) of UP will be the length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 40 years.
  • The Ex-servicemen are those covered in the definition, as per the extant rules of the Ministry of Defense/ Govt. of India.
  • Candidates applying as Ex-Servicemen should be retired on 01.03.2024 and earlier.

Age Relaxation for existing Departmental UPMRC regular employees:

Existing UPMRC employees who have completed at least three years of continuous service in UPMRC will be given upper-age relaxation/limit to the extent as summarized below:

  • For Executive posts (postcodes E01 to E09), the maximum age relaxation: is UR โ€” by five years, OBC โ€” by ten years & SC/ST โ€” by ten years
  • For Non-Executive posts (postcodes NE01 to NE08), the upper age limit of the employee is UR โ€” 40 years, OBC โ€” 45 years & SC/ST โ€” 45 years.
  • ย This age relaxation is admissible to IDA employees of UPMRC. No relaxation is admissible in the upper age limit for outsourced personnel. deputations. re-employed consultant and EWS, ESM, DFF & Women candidates of UP.

Selection Process for UPMRCL Careers 2024:

  • The selection methodology of the Assistant Manager(Electrical/Manager/S&T/Operations) will comprise a two-stage process -A written Test followed by document verification & Medical examination in the Executive (Technical) category.
  • The Assistant Manager(IT/Accounts/Architect/HR /PR ) and The Assistant Company Secretaryโ€™s selection methodology will comprise a two-stage written Test followed by Document verification & Medical examination in the Executive (Non-Technical) category.
  • The selection methodology will comprise a two-stage process for Junior Engineersย  โ€“ A written Test followed by Document verification & Medical examination in the Aye-One (A-1) category, not below the Aye-Three (A-3) category.
  • For the post of Station Controller cum Train Operator, the selection methodology will comprise a three-stage process โ€“ Written Test, Psycho Aptitude Test followed by document verification & Medical examination in Aye-one (A-1) category.
  • For the post of Account Assistant/Office Assistant (HR) / PR Assistant, the selection methodology will comprise a two-stage process โ€“ A Written Test followed by a Document verification & Medical examination in Cee-One (C-1) category.
  • For the Maintainer(Electrical /S&T) post, the selection methodology will comprise a two-stage process โ€“ A written Test followed by document verification & medical examination in the Bee-One (B-1) medical category.

Written Test:

  • Objective type Computer Based Test (CBT) for all the posts will be held on one or more days.
  • Question paper will be bilingual i.e in English and Hindi.
  • It will consist of multiple-choice objective-type questions to judge the knowledge of the English language, General Awareness, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and knowledge of the discipline.
  • There will be 140 questions for categories E-01 to E-09 & from NE-01 to NE-06.
  • Each question carries equal marks.
  • There will be negative markings. For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
  • The paper shall be for 2 hours.
  • The examination will be conducted using the Online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Note:

  • Candidates who qualify in the written test for Station Controller cum Train Operator and rank high on the merit list within the zone of consideration as decided by UPMRC shall be called for Psycho Aptitude test/Document verification/Iris Verification/Medical Examination at Lucknow.
  • The psycho-aptitude test is the qualifying test, and candidates are sixteen times.
    The number of vacancies (in all categories concerning prescribed reservation) will be counted for the psycho-aptitude test.
  • The candidates qualifying on the psycho aptitude test and high on the merit list will be called for Iris verification/biometric verificationย and Medical Examination.

Medical examination:ย All candidates must undergo the medical fitness test(s) and meet the medical standards per the Indian Railway Medical Manual for various posts.

Examination Centres:

Computer-based Tests (CBT) will be held at Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, and Ghaziabad. Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow. Mathui a, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Noida, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Bash and Sitapur or any
other city in the U.P. (as per requirement).

Application Fee:

  • UR, EWS & OBC โ€“ย  Rs. 1180/- inclusive of GST @ 18% but exclusive
    of bank charges and processing charges/convenience fees of payment gateway for each post.
