Detailed Eligibility:
Cybersecurity Engineer:
- BA/BS degree
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
What success looks like in this role:
- Gains familiarity with cybersecurity engineering concepts, practices and methodologies.
- With guidance performs standard cybersecurity engineering duties, including:
- Assisting with deployment of firewalls, intrusion detection systems and anti-virus software,
- Assisting with or performing security tool administration and updates,
- Network scanning to identify vulnerabilities,
- System modification and upgrade / enhancement,
- Incident response (i.e., investigation of incidents, breaches and threats),
- Security audit coordination,
- Security product evaluation.
- Proactively learns about / keeps up to date with security technologies, trends and best practices.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
