TNPSC Exams 2021 – Tamilnadu Government has announced the job notifications for the post of Assistant Agricultural Officer/ Assistant Horticultural Officer/ Assistant Director of Horticulture/ Horticultural Officer/ Agricultural Officer  for 991 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification B.Sc/M.Sc/Diploma in respective disciplines are eligible to apply for this job. The selection is based on the written examination. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC): In 1923 the Indian Government established a Public Service Commission. It is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu. Educational Qualification :

Assistant Agricultural Officer:

  • Must have passed Higher Secondary (plus two) Examination.
  • Must possess two years Diploma in Agriculture from the Institutions recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; or Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul District; or any other institutions under the control of the Commissioner of Agriculture.

Assistant Horticultural Officer:

  • A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination and A pass in the two years Diploma course in Horticulture in the
    Institutions approved by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University or Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops or Gandhigram Rural University.

Assistant Director of Horticulture:

  • Must possess a degree in M.Sc., Horticulture (or) M.Sc., Fruit Science (or) M.Sc., Floriculture and Landscaping (or) M.Sc., Vegetable Science (or) M.Sc., Spices / Plantation and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Horticultural Officer:

  • Must possess a degree in B.Sc., Horticulture.

Agricultural Officer:

  • A Bachelor degree in Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture) and Must possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Age Limit :

  • For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: No Maximum age limit
  • For Others: 18 to 30 Years
