TNPSC Exams 2019 – Tamilnadu Government has announced the job notifications for the post of Project Officer, Psychologist for 3 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of PG/ M.A/ M.S/ M.Sc in respective disciplines can apply for this job. The selection is based on the written test and oral test. And for the post of Civil Judge for 176 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of LLB can apply for this post. The selection is based on the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Viva–Voce Test. Eligible candidates can apply for these posts through online before the last date. Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2019):

For Project Officer:

  • Post Graduate degree in Psychology
  • Experience for a period of not less than five years in the field of Education or Training or Vocational Rehabilitation of the mentally retarded.

For Psychologist:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology
  • Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates who have undergone training or who possess experience for a period of not less than one year in testing or clinical work in the field of Psychology.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2019):

For Project Officer:

  • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: 28 years (No upper age limit)
  • Others: 28 to 45 years (Should not have completed)

For Psychologist:

  • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: No age limit
  • Others: Should not have completed 30 years

TNPSC Exam – Selection Process:

The selection process is based on the Written Examination and Oral Test in the shape of an interview.

Examination Scheme:

  • Written Examination is based on the Objective Type – OMR Method
  • The examination consists of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II)
  • The questions in Paper-I will be set in English only and the questions in Paper-II will be set both in Tamil and English.

Educational Qualification:

For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Asst Public Prosecutors:

  • Candidates should complete Degree in Law of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act
  • Must be practising as an Advocate or Pleader in any Court on the date of Notification for recruitment to the post and must have so practised for a period of not less than 3 years on such date.

For Fresh Law Graduates:

  • Candidates must be a fresh Law Graduate possessing a degree in Law from a recognized University
  • Must be eligible to be enrolled as an advocate
  • Must have obtained the Bachelor‟s Degree of Law within a period of three years prior to the date of notification
  • Candidate should secure an overall percentage of marks in acquiring the Bachelor’s Degree of Law as Reserved Categories 45% and Open Category 50% marks.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2019):

For Practising Advocates:

TNPSC Exam – Selection Process:

The selection process is based on the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Viva–Voce Test.

Examination Scheme:

For Preliminary Examination:(Objective Type )

  • It is an objective type question (OMR Method)
  • The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper containing 100 multiple choice questions
  • The papers will be set in both English and Tamil and each question shall carry one mark
  • 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The duration of the Preliminary Examination will be three hours

Minimum Marks for a pass:

  • For SC/ST: 30 Marks
  • For MBCs/DCs/BC(OBCM)s/BCMs: 35 Marks
  • For Others: 40 Marks

For Main Examination: Written (Descriptive Type)

TNPSC Exam – Selection process:

The selection process is based on the written examination and oral test. The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the written examination and oral test.

Scheme of Examination:

  • The written test will be OMR based examination (Objective Type)
  • The exam will be made in two successive stages (Paper-I & Paper-II)
  • Separate questions pattern for  the Assistant Director and for CDPO post
  • Paper-II will be common for both posts
  • The time duration of paper-I is 3 hours and for paper-II is 2 hours
  • Paper-I contains 300 marks and Paper-II contains 200 marks, the interview will be for 70 marks

For Assistant Director:

PAPER-I: Home Science or Psychology or Sociology or Child Development or Food and Nutrition or Social Work or Rehabilitation Science

For Child Development Project Officer (CDPO):
