TNPSC Exams 2019 – Tamilnadu Government has announced the job notifications for the post of Archaeological Officer for 18 vacancies, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon for 1141 vacancies and Assistant Section Officer (Translation) for 5 vacancies, totally 1164 vacancies are available. Candidates with the qualification M.A can apply for Archaeological Officer and candidates with B.V.Sc. can apply for Veterinary Assistant Surgeon job and candidates with Any Degree in Tamil or Hindi any one of the parts in the Degree course is eligible to apply for Assistant Section Officer job. The selection is based on the written examination. Eligible candidates can apply for this posts online before the last date. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC): In 1923 the Indian Government established a Public Service Commission. It is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu. It is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service. All the recruitments conducted by this commission are purely merit-based.

Educational Qualification (as on 28.11.2019):

  • Candidates must possess M.A.Degree in Ancient History and Archaeology or in Archaeology (OR)
  • Candidates must possess M.A.Degree in History or Indian History or in Tamil awarded by any of the University recognized by the University Grants Commission and Post Graduate Diploma in Epigraphy and Archaeology awarded by the institute of Epigraphy, Department of Archaeology, Government of Tamil Nadu or Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology awarded by the Archaeological Survey of India.
  • Must have passed Tamil as one of the subjects in Degree level.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2019):

  • Others: 18 to 30 years
  • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: 18 years (No Maximum age limit)
