About TISS: Tata Institute of Social Sciences is a multi-campus public research university in Mumbai, India. It is Asiaโs oldest institute for professional social work education and was founded in 1936 in the Bombay Presidency of British India as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust. In 1944, the institute was officially renamed the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and in 1964, the Government of India declared TISS as deemed a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Registrar:
- Masterโs Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale from a recognized University institute.
- At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as an Associate Professor, along with experience in educational administration. OR
- Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
- At least 15 years of administrative experience of which at least 8 years shall be as a Deputy Registrar or an equivalentย post.
Deputy Librarian:
- Masterโs Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on the point scale, wherever the grading system is followed.
- Eight years of experience as an Assistant University Librarian and College Librarian.
- Evidence of Innovative Library Services including integration of ICT in the Library.
- A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation Science/Archives and Manuscript Keeping/Computerization of Library.
Assistant Registrar:
- Masterโs Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of โBโ in the UGC seven-point scale.
- Desirable: Five years of experience at the supervisory level.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications is essential.
- Degree in Law / Management.
Assistant Manager (Publications):
- Masterโs Degree in Social Sciences with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of โBโ on the UGC seven-point scale with ten years of experience.
- Minimum seven years experience in publishing or public relations or allied areas.
- Proficiency in computerized administrative systems and processes.
- Good writing and social media skills.
- Well-versed with DTP Programs like Coral Ventura, Coral Draw, Adobe Indesign and Quark Xpress, etc, and various online platforms.
- Desirable: Excellent writing and academic editing skills in English.
- Understanding of graphic design and designing software.
System Analyst-cum- Programmer:
- First class (60% & above) M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science & Technology)/ Information Technology) with two years of relevant experience or equivalent. OR
- First class (60% & above) Master in Computer Applications (MCA) with two years of relevant experience. OR
- First class (60% & above) M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized University/institute with three years of relevant experience.
Health Officer:
- MBBS is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- Registered with MCI/ State Medical Council.
- Three years of working experience in a Hospital attached to a Medical College/Corporate Hospital.
- Desirable: Post Graduate Medical Qualification recognized by the MCI.
Field Work Coordinator:
- Masterโs Degree in Social Work with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of โBโ in the UGC seven-point scale.
- 15 years of experience in fieldwork.
Section Officer:
- A Bachelorโs Degree in any stream from any recognised institute/University.
- Three years of experience at the supervisory level.
Section Officer ( Security ):
- Bachelorโs Degree from a recognized University/ Institution with five years of experience. OR
- Persons who have served in the Army or such Uniformed Service at JCO level or equivalent or above, with Other standard pass or Army class | Examination or an equivalent examination. AND
- Holding a valid Driving License (LMV/ Motor cycle).
Programmer: A Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or a postgraduate degree in the subject and degree/diploma with five years of experience from a recognized University or Institute with five years of experience.
Horticulturist:ย A Bachelorโs degree in agriculture/ horticulture/ Floriculture or equivalent with three years of experience in the relevant field.
Senior Technical Assistant (Media and Communication):
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent Diploma in Photography/videography! Art or B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. with three years of experience assisting in video production.
- Experience in image manipulation software is required.
- Experience and familiarity in the use of video and sound equipment, editing โ and still photography equipment are essential.
- Desirable: Skills in visual and digital graphic design are desirable.
Stenographer โ II:
- A Bachelorโs Degree in any stream from any recognized Institute/University.
- Proficiency in Stenography in English! Hindi with a minimum speed of 100 wpm.
- Proficiency in Typing in English with a minimum speed of 35 wpm.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications.
- Three years of experience as a Stenographer in Central State Govt Organisations/University Research Institutions or Central/State autonomous Institutions.
- Desirable: Proficiency in English and good communication skills.
- Skill Test Norms on Computer: Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 wpm / Transcription: 40 minutes English
Psychiatric Social Worker:
- Masterโs degree in Social Work with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work or Health and Mental Health with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade seven-point scale.
- Five years of experience working with children and adolescents in the field of mental health.
- Should have proficiency in English, Hindi, and preferably Marathi languages.
Social Worker: Mastersโs Degree in Social Work with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale with 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
Technical Assistant (Media and Communication):
- Bachelorโs degree with two years of experience assisting in Digital Video Camera Work. OR
- HSC with 5 years experience of assisting in Video Camera and Audio Visual equipment.
- Experience in image manipulation software and skills in visual and digital graphic design is desirable.
Technical Assistant:
- A Masterโs degree in Computer Science/Master in Computer Applications OR
- Bachelorsโ Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Computer Science and Technology/Electronics and Communication / Information Technology from a recognized University or Institute with five years of experience.
- Desirable: Two Years experience in the relevant field for those who hold a Masterโs Degree.
Stenographer โ III:
- A Bachelorโs Degree from a recognized University/Institute.
- At least 02 Yearsโ experience as Stenographer / Personal Assistant in a University/ Research Establishment/ Central/State Govt / PSU/ private organization.
- English Stenography speed: 80 wpm in English.
- English โ Type speed: 35 wpm in English.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Desirable: Proficiency in English & good communication Skills.
- Skill Test Norms on Computer: Dictation: 1. 10 minutes @ 80 wpm Transcription: 50 minutes
Lower Divisional Clerk:
- A Bachelorโs Degree in any stream from any recognized Institute/University.
