Security Printing Press, Hyderabad, is one of the nine units of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), a Schedule “A” Mini-Ratna. Category- the government of India wholly owns Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). SPMCIL started functioning as a Corporatized entity on the 13th of January, 2006, under the Companies Act 1956. The company’s objectives and business are designing and manufacturing security papers, printing currency & Bank Notes, Passports, Non-Judicial Stamp Papers, Postage Stamps and Minting Coins. The operational Units of the Company are strategically located across the Country, having its four Mints at Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida, four Currency/Security presses at Nasik, Dewas and Hyderabad, and a high-quality Paper Manufacturing Mill at Narmadapuram.

Printing/Control:

Supervisor(TO-Printing) at S-1 Level:

  • 1st class full-time Diploma in Printing Technology from a recognized Institution/University.   [or]
  • 1st class full-time B.Tech/B.E/BSc (Engineering) in Printing Technology from a recognized Institution/University.

Supervisor(Technical Control) at S-1Level:

  • 1st class full-time Diploma in Printing/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology from a recognized Institution/University.  [or]
  • 1st class full-time B.Tech /B.E/BSc (Engineering) in Printing / Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics /Computer Science/Information Technology from recognized Institution/University.

Junior Technician (Printing/Control) at W-1Level:

  • NCVT / SCVT recognized a full-time ITI certificate in the printing trade. Litho Offset machine minder / Letterpress machine minder/Offset Printing / Platemaking/ Electroplating / Full-Time ITI in Plate maker cum impositer/ hand composing. [or]
  • Full-time diploma in Printing Technology from government-recognised institutes /polytechnics.

Engineering:

Junior Technician (Fitter) at W-1 Level:

  • NCVT/SCVT recognized a full-time I.T.I. certificate in the fitter trade.

Junior Technician (Welder) at W-1 Level:

  • A full-time I.T.I. certificate was recognized from NCVT/SCVT in the welding trade.

Junior Technician (Electronics/Instrumentation) at W-1 Level:

  • NCVT/SCVT recognized a full-time I.T.I. certificate in electronics/instrumentation.

Resource Management:

Supervisor (OL) (RM) at A-1 Level:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university in Hindi or English with English/Hindi Subject at Graduation Level (i.e. Hindi in case the candidate is post-graduate in English & vice versa)
  • Must have one year of experience in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
  • Desirable: 
    • Knowledge of Sanskrit and/ or any other modern language.
    • Proficiency in working on Computers in the Hindi language.

Junior Office Assistant at B-3 Level:

  • Graduate with at least 55% marks from a recognized Institution/University and computer knowledge with typing speed in English @40wpm / Hindi @ 30 wpm.

Fireman at W-1 Level:

  • 10th Class Passed.
  • Certificate in Fireman training from a Recognized Institution.
  • Minimum height 5‟ 5” (165 cm) and chest 31” – 33” (79-84 cms.).
  • Each eye must have a full field vision.
  • Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification.

Probation: The selected candidates will be placed on probation for one year. The probation period may be extended by a further maximum period of one year at the discretion of the Company.



Age Limit (As on 15 April 2024):

  • For Supervisor at S-1/A-1 level – 18 to 30 years (born between 16.04.1994 to 15.04.2006)
  • Junior Technician at W-1 level – 18 to 25 years (born between 16.04.1999 to 15.04.2006)
  • Junior Technician at B-3 level – 18 to 28 years (born between 16.04.1996 to 15.04.2006)
  • Fireman at W-1 level – 18 to 25 years (born between 16.04.1999 to 15.04.2006)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST  candidates  – 5 years
  • OBC  candidates – 3 years
  • PWD candidates – 10 years
  • Ex-Serviceman – To the extent of service rendered by them in the Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years (8 years for SC/ST and six years for OBC
    candidates) subject to a maximum of 50 years of age.
  • Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not remarried (For posts at W-1/B-3 level) – Upto 35 years (UR/EWS/OBC) and 40 Years (SC/ST)
  • Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof –  3 years (UR/EWS/OBC) and 8 Years (SC/ST)
  • Department Candidates – There is no age bar for the in-service SPMCIL employees who fulfil the essential qualifications and experience provided they have at least three years of service left on the date of advertisement.

Selection Process for Security Printing Press Recruitment 2024:

  • The selection process will be based on an online examination, which will be of an objective type.
  • The online examination will be held for 120 mins duration.
  • The online examination will be held tentatively in May /June 2024.

Junior Office Assistant (B-3 Lvel):

  • The online exam for Junior Office Assistant at B-3 Level will be conducted in two phases (Phase-I & Phase-II)

Phase-I:

  • First Computer-based typewriting test in English @ 40 wpm or in Hindi @30 wpm will be conducted.
  • Candidates must indicate their preference for the language (Hindi/English) of the typing test to be conducted on the computer while filling out their online application form.
  • The typing test will last 10 minutes, and the speed criteria are 40 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi.
  • Candidates can attempt the Typing Skill Test in Hindi or English (as opted by Candidates in the Online Application form).

Phase-II:

  • Those candidates who qualify for typewriting (English @ 40 wpm Hindi @30 wpm) on the Computer will be called for an online examination.
  • The type of writing test will be qualifying, and the final selection will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Phase-II online examination.
  • The objective of the online examination for Junior Office Assistants will consist of the following tests, and each test will be 20 minutes long.

Merit of qualification:

  • ]The final merit list will be drawn by the marks obtained in the online examination.
  • The minimum qualifying marks, i.e., cut-off marks required to consider on order of merit for different categories of candidates
    • General / EWS Category – 55%
    • OBC – 50%
    • SC/ST Category – 45%

Note:



  • The total duration of the test will be 120 Minutes
  • The online test will be in bilingual form, i.e. Hindi & English language, except the English language section, which will be available only in English, and there is no Interview to select the posts.
  • The selection will be on a merit basis, with no negative marking.

  • Rs.600/-(including GST) for candidates from UR, EWS, and OBC Categories. 
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD are exempted from payment of application fees.
  • However, the SC/ST and PWD candidates must pay only Rs.200/- towards Intimation charges.
