About Sainik School: The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence. They were conceived in 1961 by V. K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, to rectify the regional and class imbalance amongst the Officer cadre of the Indian Military, and to prepare students mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune and Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Today there are 33 such schools running and proposed for the future covering all the states of the country

Educational Qualification:
Trained Graduate Teachers ( TGT ):
Science/Mathematics/English:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate.
- B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- Pass in the CTET conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE.
- Proficiency in teaching in English Medium.
Computer Science:
- B.E/B. Tech- Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics/Electronics & Communications or Equivalent. OR
- MCA/M.Sc /Computer Science/ Information Technology/Masters in IT or Equivalent. OR
- M. Sc. (Mathematics) and B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent. OR
- Post Graduate degree in Mathematics or Physics or Statistics and 3 years Diploma in Computer Engineering/IT from an institution recognized by the AICTE/University. OR
- Post Graduate degree in Mathematics, Physics or Statistics and at least Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from an institution recognized by the AICTE/University or equivalent. OR
- B level from DOEACC.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized University.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Computer Application
- Proficiency in Games and Co-curricular activities.
- Experience in Residential Schools.
