Detailed Eligibility for Sainik School Amethi Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Music Teacher/Band Master:
- Essential:
- Higher Secondary with a degree or diploma in music from a recognized institution. [or]
- Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major Course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi. Or equivalent to a Naval or equivalent Air Force Course.
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
LDC:
- Essential:
- Should have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university
- Should have a Typing Test (English – 40 words per minute & Hindi – 35 words per minute) on the computer
- Knowledge of Computer Applications (MS Office, MS Excel, etc.)
- Desirable:
- Intermediate and Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized board or university
- Knowledge of Shorthand
- Able to do correspondence in English
Driver:
- Essential:
- Should have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
- Applicant must have a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License issued from Regional Transport Officer/District Transport Officer with knowledge of traffic signs
- Desirable:
- Identification of various parts of the vehicle, changing of wheels, spare wheels (Stepeny), Installation/changing of vehicle battery, daily inspection (DI) of vehicle etc
- Capable of roadside repair of vehicles.
Ward Boy:
- Essential: Should have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
- Desirable:
- Communication in English, Higher Qualification, experience in handling the students in a residential school/Institution, knowledge of computers & typing and, experience in housekeeping duties and experience working as a Hostel Warden/Ward Boy in any Residential School will be given preference.
- In addition, preference will be given to those who possess a Degree/Diploma in Home Science or have done a dietitian’s course and have basic medical knowledge, including first aid.
- The candidate should be physically fit.
General Employee:
- Essential: Should have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university
- Desirable:
- Any other qualification/work experience of a carpenter, plumber, electrician, welder, barber
- Experience in working in a residential school
Minimum Marks (in essential qualification):
- Music Teacher: 50 % marks
- LDC, Driver, Ward Boy & General Employee: 40 % marks

- Music Teacher/Band Master: 21 to 32 years
- For other posts: 18 to 50 years

Selection Process for Sainik School Amethi Careers:
- The selection process includes a Written Test/Skill Test/Interview.
- Written Test: Selection will be based on the individual’s performance in written tests, skill tests, and interviews.
- Shortlisted candidates meeting all eligibility criteria will only be called for a written test.
- Candidates who qualify for written tests will only be called for skill tests and interviews.
- Skill Test and Interview: Skill tests for various posts include work/tests in their respective fields.
For Music Teacher/Band Master: Skill Test for Music Teacher/Band Master will include a class demonstration on an appropriate topic with a lesson plan and appropriate teaching aids. Apart from the class demonstration, there will be an interview.
For LDC: Skill tests will include typing, letter drafting, and computer proficiency tests.
For Driver: Skill test for Driver will include the driving test and other tests related to vehicle rules and regulations.
For Ward Boy: Skill test for Ward Boy will include running, giving first aid and other topics as the Board of Officers decided.
For General Employee: Skill tests for General Employee will include manual labour, cleaning of garbage, floor, lavatory (washrooms, toilets), digging, grass cutting, brooming, gardening, etc. Candidate for the post of General Employee will be required to undergo a physical fitness test to check suitability for employment, which will include a 1.6 Km run (1600 meters) in the prescribed timing
