Detailed Eligibility:
Associate Engineer/Engineer – RFSW Team, Communication Systems:
- B.Tech/M.Tech – 2024/2025 – ECE, Communication Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent
- Fresh grads need to have a good understanding of C and/or C++, Software Engineering concepts with focus on embedded software, Digital/Wireless Communications, ECE fundamentals and RF Theory.
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications
- The position requires strong C programming skills with an understanding of RF and/Or Communications systems.
- The candidate should have the knowledge of digital communications and RF theory.
- An understanding of embedded real time systems is desired.
- Experience in LTE or 5G wireless systems is a plus.
- Must have good communication skills and be a team player.
- C and/Or C++ Software Programming and Debugging skills on Embedded real time operating systems/RTOS.
- Should have a good understanding of the Software Engineering concepts.
- Requires a good understanding of the Wireless communication system.
- Knowledge of wireless communication in any of the radio access technologies (e.g. LTE, 5GNR, etc.) is a plus.
- Wireless system knowledge and/or background, applicable to Modem-RF Software, Communication theory and Radio architecture.
- Modem/Communications device driver development experience is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated working knowledge with HW and RF Test equipment (Protocol Test Equipment, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.).
Job Description: Qualcomm is looking for Modem-RF Wireless SW engineers at levels with 0-3 yrs of experience, with knowledge of RF and Digital Communications. The candidate will develop and validate the software for Qualcomm’s Modem-RF Wireless chipsets.
The Modem-RF Software Team at Qualcomm India:
- Develops drivers for the leading Modem-RF Transceivers in close collaboration with RF Hardware, Modem/Baseband and RF ASIC teams. This is at the core of the Qualcomm’s Communication System solution.
- Creates, Develops and Optimizes Modem and RF Transceiver and Antenna / RF Front End algorithms and Software modules to improve System performance, Factory yields and RF Testability.
- Provide Modem-RF Driver expertise to investigations of complex RF and Modem issues in a cross-functional Hardware / Software working environment.
- Works closely with the physical layer teams in delivering new features to keep Qualcomm Modem performance competitive in the evolving marketplace.
- Collaborates closely with RF & Modem Systems, Hardware and Test Engineering during the cycles of product development.
