Educational Qualification:
Tenure-Based Chemical Process Worker (CPW):
- Ex-Apprentices of AOCP Trade possessing Ordnance factories training/experience in manufacturing and handling military explosives and also Ex-trade apprentices of AOCP trade trained in Ordnance Factories of erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board OR
- Candidates holding NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET of AQCP trade from other Government affiliated Institutes/Organisations.
Duration: Tenure-based CPW on a contract basis initially for ONE year which may be extended up to a maximum period of four years.
Age Limit (As on 23 February 2025): 18 to 35 years
Age Relaxation:
- For SC/ST: 5 years (only for the post reserved for SC/ST).
- For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (only for the post reserved for OBC).
- For Ex-SM (Ex-Servicemen): Period of military service + 3 years.

Selection Process of Ordnance Factory Itarsi Careers:
- A common merit list will be prepared for Ex Apprentices of Ordnance Factory and other candidates based on selection criteria.
- Selection of candidates shall be done based on the marks scored in the NAC issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET and Trade Test/Practical Test only, in the order of merit.
- The cut-off percentage for calling candidates for the Trade Test will be decided by the Ordnance Factory Itarsi based on the total marks secured in the NAC issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET.
- The Trade Test will be carried out by Ordnance Factory Itarsi, probably within one month of the closing date of the advertisement.
- The Trade Test/Practical Test will be of 100 marks.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks secured in the NAC mark sheet issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET and the Trade Test/Practical Test.
- Weightage of marks in the NAC mark sheet issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET and the Trade Test/Practical Test will be 80% and 20%, respectively.
- Candidates qualifying in the NAC issued by NCTVT/NCVT/NCVET and the Trade Test/Practical Test will be called for Document Verification in the order of merit.
- The number of candidates called for Document Verification will be limited to the number of posts notified (Discipline/Category-wise).
