NIT Hamirpur: National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is one of the thirty-one NITs of the country, which came into existence on 7th August 1986 as Regional Engineering College, a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. At the time of inception, the Institute had only two departments, i.e., Civil and Electrical Engineering, with an intake of 30 students each.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Library Apprentices:
- Essentials: BLIS in Library and Information Science from a recognized Board/Council/University/Institute.
- Desirable: Basic working knowledge of IT and IT applications related to libraries.
Duration: The appointment shall be One Year per the Apprentices Act guidelines.
Age Limit(As on 26 November 2023): 30 Years
Salary: Rs.9,000/-pm(as per the Apprentices Act)

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a Written test/Interview. The selection of candidates will be based on the criteria decided by the selection. The shortlisted candidates may be called to appear for a Written test/Interview.
