NIOH Recruitment 2024 – The National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH) has announced notification for the Assistant/Technician-I/Laboratory Attendant-I posts. There are 27 openings available for these posts. Candidates with Any Degree/12th/10th/ITI/Diploma qualifications are eligible to apply for ICMR NIOH Recruitment. Detailed Eligibility Criteria for NIOH Careers:
Educational Qualifications:
Assistant:
- Minimum three years Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University/Institution.
- Working knowledge of computers (MS Office/PowerPoint).
Technician-I:
- 12th or intermediate pass in Science subjects with 55% marks from a Govt. recognized Board and at least one-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)/Computer /Chemical Technology/Industrial safety from a government-recognized institution
Laboratory Attendant-I:
- 10th Pass with 50% marks in aggregate from a Govt. recognized board and 01-year of working experience in a Govt. recognized/registered/approved Laboratory OR
- ITI in the concerned field or trade certificate issued by govt. agencies.
Probation: The period of Probation will be 2 years for all the posts from the date of joining.
Age Limit (As on 11 December 2024):
- Assistant: 30 years
- Technician-1: 28 years
- Laboratory Attendant-1: 25 years
Age Relaxation: The age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/ (None Creamy Layer) /PwD/Ex-Servicemen etc. shall be considered as per the DoPT OM No. DoPT-1667569393892 dated: 06.09.2022 as amended time to time.
Salary:
- Assistant: Rs. 35,400/- to 1,12,400/-
- Technician-1: Rs. 19,900/- to 63,200/-
- Laboratory Attendant-1: Rs. 18,000/- to 56,900/-

Selection Process of ICMR NIOH Recruitment:
- The selection process will be based on written tests & skill tests.
For Technician-I/Laboratory Attendant-I/Assistant:
- The written test would have 100 marks consisting of 100 objective/MCQ-type questions of one mark each for the correct answer.
- For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- All written tests shall be conducted only in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
- The syllabus of the written test shall be published separately.
For Assistant post:
- Candidates securing qualifying marks in written tests shall be called for skill test
- However,the top 20 candidates as per merit list of written test shall be called first.
- These candidates have equal opportunity to compete among the top 20 candidates for selection in skill test.
- In case, none of top 20 qualify skill test then next 20 candidates as per merit shall be called.
Note: The date, time and venue of the written test will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through call letters/admit cards

- For SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Rs. 500/-
- For other candidates: Rs. 1,000/-
