NII Careers – Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Project Title: INCENTIVE: Indo-European consortium for next-generation influenza vaccine innovation funded by DBT
Senior Research Fellow (Project):
Essential:
- M. Sc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry and any Biological Sciences or M.Tech in any Science and having two years of research experience.
- The candidates should have qualified for any National Level Eligibility test such as (NET/GATE etc.) to apply for the above position.
Desirable:
SRF (Virology):
- The candidate has experience in the virology field and to work under BSL3 virology lab.
- Candidates having experience in influenza biology and virology assays are encouraged to apply
SRF (Bioinformatics):
- Candidate having experience in genomics (NGS, RNA seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNA seq etc.).
- The candidate should be able to design an analysis pipeline and be able to work in collaboration with the wet lab environment
Duration: The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
Salary Details: Rs. 42,000/- per month + 27% HRA

Educational Qualification:
Project Title: Establishment of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Centre at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi with the theme of ‘Structural Bioinformatics & Genome Mining (Applications in Biomedical Sciences)
Senior Research Fellow (Project):
Essential:
- M.Sc.(Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology) or Master’s degree in any other stream of biological/physical/computational sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or Equivalent AND a minimum of 3 years of research experience.
- Must have qualified for any National Level Examination i.e. NET-JRF
Desirable:
- Work experience in the area of Bioinformatics/IT/Computer Applications.
- Strong computer programming skills (in PERL/Python or C++ or object-oriented database management systems like MySQL etc or scripting languages under LINUX/UNIX environment) and sufficient experience in computational analysis of biological/biochemical data.
- Publications in the area of bioinformatics & Computational biology are highly desirable
Duration: Six months (6 Months)
Salary Details: Rs. 42,000/- per month + 27% HRA

Selection Process for NII Careers:
- The selection process will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
- The walk-in interview will be conducted online, and the shortlisted candidates will be communicated with the date and online link through email for the interview after the last date of applications.
