- M.E/M.Tech or equivalent in the area of Mechanical Engg/Tribology OR
- Ph.D. Submitted in the area of Mechanical Engg/Tribology
Desirable: B.E/B.Tech in the area of Mechanical/Production/design engineering with M.E./M.Tech. Experience in Technology Innovation, applied Technology, translational Research in the areas of Tribology, design lubricants, failure analysis, surface characterization and contact mechanics
Area: Distillate & Heavy Oil Processing
- Essential: Ph.D. Submitted in the area of Chemistry/Chemical sciences
- Desirable: R&D activity related to the development of new materials for hydrocracking of residues, additive for delayed coking, also having hands on experience on catalysts/materials synthesis, characterization of materials and of different petroleum fractions, reaction kinetics and writing research
papers/patents
Area: Separation Process (Lube & Wax)
- Essential: M.E/M.Tech in the area of Chemical Engineering/Petroleum Engineering/ Petrochemical Engineering/Oil & Gas Engineering)
- Desirable: Research experience in the area of petroleum-derived lube base oils and waxes with publication in peer-reviewed SCI journals

- Essential: Ph. D. Submitted in the area of Chemistry/Chemical Sciences

Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC (NCL) as per Government orders
- The upper age limit is also relaxable up to five years for the regular employees working in CSIR laboratories/institutes, Government Departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings
- Age relaxation of 10 years (total 15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs in respect of the posts reserved for them)
