Detailed Eligibility – IISc Careers:
Teaching Assistants:
- Biology: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences
- Chemistry: M. Sc in any branch of Chemical Sciences
- Earth & Environmental Science: M.Sc/B.Tech/M.Tech in the area of Geology & Environmental Science
- Engineering: M.Sc/B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/ComputerScience
- Materials:
- M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry or B.E/B.Tech in Materials, Metallurgical, Ceramics, Polymers or Mechanical Engineering
- Desirable: Candidates with M.E/M.Tech degrees will be preferred.
- Physics: M.Sc in Physics
Duration: Engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis, initially for a period of one year and renewable annually up to a maximum duration of five years, based on the satisfactory performance and requirements of the Institute.
Age Limit (As on 09 December 2024): 30 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation, if applicable, as per GoI norms may be considered
Salary Details:
- Emoluments will be Rs. 25,000/- + HRA p.m. After two years, the salary will be fixed at Rs. 28,000/- + HRA p.m.
- For candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests or GATE, emoluments will be Rs. 31,000/- + HRA p.m. After two years, the salary will be fixed at Rs. 35,000/- + HRA p.m.
