Detailed Eligibility – IISc Careers:
System Engineer – I :
- For HPC System Administration Services: BE/BTech in CS/IT/EE/ECE/equivalent / MCA / M.Sc. (CS)
- For Mechanical Infrastructure Management: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering/equivalent
- Applicants should have secured a First Class as declared by the University.
Experience:
- Only for HPC System Administration Services or for Mechanical Infrastructure Management.
- No work experience is required.
- For HPC system Administration Services: Familiarity with Programming and Linux is expected (or)
- Familiarity with Chillers, AHUs, HVACs, etc. will be desirable for Mechanical Infrastructure Management.
Duration: Engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis, which would be initially for a period of one year, which will commence from the date of joining. The maximum duration of the System Engineer – I position is 2 years.
Age Limit (As on 17 April 2025): 30 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation, if applicable, as per GoI norms may be considered
Salary Details: Rs.25,000/- + HRA
Total Vacancies: 05 positions (UR-03, OBC-01, SC- 01 (Backlog vacancy))
Selection Process for IISc Careers:
- The selection will be based on an online test and an online interview.
- Only the candidates securing the cutoff marks and above in the test will be called for an interview, which will be conducted subsequently.
- The shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail about the date & time of the selection process
- The final selection will be on the basis of performance in the interview.
