Detailed Eligibility – ICRISAT Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Research Technician:
- Graduate (biological science), preference will be given to those with 2 – 3 years of experience working on ICRISAT mandate crops seed production and processing.
- Familiarity with crop cafeteria, FLDs, field activities, monitoring, and data collection
- Ability to drive 2 & 4-wheeler and travel to other sites when required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Responsibilities:
- To conduct Crop cafeteria in research stations and KVKs and Frontline demonstrations (FLDs) in farmers? fields in Bihar
- To attend all the field activities from sowing to harvesting, data collection, seed production, purity and quality maintenance, seed processing and storage
- Supervise laborers in crop production activities from planting to harvesting including seed processing.
- Regularly communicate updates and progress to the supervisor.
- Travel to different sites within Bihar State to conduct experiments and gather data.
- Performing any other project activities as advised by the supervisor.

- PhD. in Plant Breeding/Agronomy/Seed Science with a good academic record with 5 – 7 years of experience after obtaining PhD

- Sound knowledge of experimental designs and statistical analysis using R and other statistical packages
