Detailed Eligibility – ICFRE Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Technical Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Botany/Zoology/Agriculture/Forestry/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Environmental Science/Statistics (as one of the subjects) from a recognised University.
Forest Guard:
- 12th standard pass with Science from a Government-recognised Board.
- The appointee will be required to complete a Forestry training course successfully from a recognised Forest Guard training institution during the probation period.
- Physical Proficiency Test and Medical Standards are given below in the Exam pattern
Driver:
- Matriculation from a recognised board.
- Possession of a valid driving license for motor cars.
- Experience of driving a motor car for three years or more.
- Desirable: Knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
Age Limit (As on 10 August 2025):
- Technical Assistant: 21 – 30 years
- Forest Guard: 18 – 27 years
- Driver: 18 – 27 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Divyangian/Ex-Servicemen candidates is as per the Government of India orders.

Selection Process of ICFRE Jobs:
- The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit of the written examination, subject to minimum qualifying marks.
- Physical standard test, Trade test for the relevant posts will be qualifying and with a minimum 50% marks (wherever marking).
- The candidates shortlisted for skill/proficiency test/selection will have to produce original as well as self-attested photocopies of their certificates related to age proof, caste, educational qualifications,
Divyangjan and Ex-servicemen certificates etc, at the time of test/prior to appointment for verification.
Scheme of examination:
- A competitive written examination will be conducted.
- Driving test for the post of Driver and Physical Standard Test for the Post of Forest Guard will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted in 1:10 ratio on the basis of merit of written examination.
- Written examination will be conducted for all the posts either on the same date or on different dates through MP Online.
- The question paper (bilingual – in English and Hindi) will have total of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying a Maximum Marks 100
- There will be negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer in written examination for all the posts.
- There shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the post of Forest Guard and Driver.

Age Relaxation:
- The upper age is relaxable upto five years for departmental candidates (ICFRE employees) who have completed the probation period.
