HFRI Recruitment 2024 – The Himalayan Forest Research Institute has announced notification for the post of Junior Project Fellow. There are three openings for these posts. Candidates with the qualification of M.Sc are eligible to apply for HFRI Careers. Detailed Eligibility- HFRI Shimla Recruitment:

Educational Qualification:

Project Title: Production of Quality Planting Stock and Capacity Building of Field Functionaries of HPFD on Quality Seedlings Production by Using Mycorrhizal Biotechnology

Junior Research Fellow:

First Class MSc. in Botany, Pathology
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Mycorrhizal Biotechnology/ Specialization in mycology/ Plant pathology.

Period: Jan 2024 to Dec 2024 (1 year)

Project Title: Sustainable Management of NTFPs through Conservation and value addition (AICRP-29)

Junior Project Fellow:

First Class MSc. in Botany/Forestry.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in research field.

Period: Jan 2024 to Dec 2026 (3 years)

Project Title: Assessment and monitoring of Invasive Alien Plant Species in India and formulation of strategies for management of Key Invasive Alien Plant species in different regions of the country (AICRP-7)

Junior Project Fellow:

First Cass M.Sc. Forestry/ M.Sc. Botany/ M.Sc.Environmental Science.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in research field.

Period: Jan 2024 to Dec 2024 (1 year)

Note: Proficiency of the candidate in computer application especially MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc, may be of added benefit to the candidate.

Duration of HFRI Careers: The initial appointment will be for one year or upto project period (as the case may be) and
the period will be extended further subject to the candidate’s performance under the respective project.

Age Limit(As on 09 January 2024): Should not exceed 28 years

Age relaxation: Relaxation of 5 years in age to SC/ST/OBC/ Woman candidates will be given as per approved rules.

Total Vacancies: 3 posts

Salary :

Junior Project Fellow: Rs. 20,000/- per month + HRA as admissible
