Eastern Railway Careers – Detailed Eligibility:

Education Qualification:

Group ‘C’, Level-4/Level 5: Passed Graduation or its equivalent examination in any discipline from a Govt. recognized University/Institution

Group ‘C’ Level-2/Level-3:

Passed class 12th (10+2 stage) or its equivalent examination.
Educational Qualification must be from a Govt. recognized Board/Council/Institution etc. OR
Passed Matriculation from recognised Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR
Passed class 10th from Govt. recognized Board / Council/Institutions etc. plus ITI passed OR its equivalent examination or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.[Minimum educational qualification should be as applicable to the post offered]

Group ‘D’ Level-1:

Passed class 10th or its equivalent examination OR
ITI passed OR its equivalent examination OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Education Qualification from a Govt. recognized Board/Council/ Institutes etc. [Minimum educational qualification should be as applicable to the post offered].

Note: For Group-C appointment against Sports Quota in Technician-III, the minimum educational qualification is a 10th pass. However, the training period for such Sports Quota appointees will be 03 (Three) years, unless they pass/possess ITI qualification in the relevant trade, in which case it will be 6 months

Group ‘C’ Level-2/Level-3 (7th CPC) (GP Rs.1900/2000/- (6th CPC): 16 Posts
Group ‘D’ Level-1(7th CPC) (GP Rs.1800/ (6^th CPC): 39 Posts

Selection Process for Eastern Railway Careers:

The recruitment will be based on trials & assessment of recognized sports achievements as per norms, Educational Qualifications, etc.
The distribution of marks is as under:

Description	Maximum Marks
For assessment of recognized Sports Achievement as per norms	50 Marks
For game skill, physical fitness & Coach’s observations during Trials	40 Marks
Educational Qualification	10 Marks
Total Marks	100 Marks

Trial:

Trials of the candidates shall be conducted by the Trial Committee to assess their sports performance and suitability for the Zonal Railway team as well as the Indian Railway’s team
Trial Committee shall give the recommendations in terms of FIT or NOT FIT for consideration for the next stage as per the criteria are given below
After Trial, only FIT candidates shall be considered for next stage by the Recruitment Committee

For game skill, and physical fitness & the coach’s observations during trials	40 Marks (Maximum Marks)
FIT Candidate	25 Marks or more
NOT FIT candidate	Marks below 25

For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-
For Other candidates: Rs. 500/-
