Education Qualification:
Executive Trainee (IT) – Post 2026/02:
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Information Technology/Computer Science from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution.
Executive Trainee (Mining) – Post 2026/03:
- Full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in Mining Engineering from an AICTE /appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks [General/OBC(NCL)/EWS] & 60% marks (SC/ST) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per the conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution.
Executive Trainee (Chemical) – Post 2026/04:
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engineering from AICTE/appropriate statutory approved University/Institution with not less than 65% marks OBC(NCL) & 60% marks (SC/ST) in aggregate of all years/semesters as per the conversion formula of the concerned University/Institution.
Mandatory: Must have a valid GATE 2025 score in the corresponding paper — CS (for IT), MN (for Mining), or CH (for Chemical). GATE marks of 2024 or prior are NOT valid.
Age Limit (As on 10 April 2026): 29 Years
Age Relaxation:
- For OBC(NCL) candidates: 03 Years
- For SC/ST candidates: 05 Years
- For PwBD candidates, where applicable:
- General (UR) – 10 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) with PwBD candidates – 13 Years
- SC/ST with PwBD candidates – 15 Years
- Candidates who are the domicile of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 as per Govt. of India guidelines – 5 Years
- Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of Riots: As per Govt. of India guidelines.

Selection Process of Damodar Valley Corporation Careers:
- The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE-2025 only
- Eligible candidates must have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE-2025, i.e. Computer Science and Information Technology (CS)/ Mining (MN)/ Chemical (CH).
- Candidates qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE-2025 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stages of selection.
- Qualifying marks in GATE-2025 shall be as decided by the GATE-2025 conducting Authority.
- The candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification (DV) based on GATE-2025 marks obtained out of 100 in the order of merit in the ratio of 1:5 or more to the number of vacancies category-wise in each discipline for the further selection process
- In case two or more candidates in the same discipline and category secured equal marks in GATE-2025 and the ratio of 1:5 is increasing, all those candidates who secured equal marks will be called for Document Verification (DV) irrespective of the above ratio.

- Candidates belonging to General/OBC(NCL)/EWS categories are required to pay a Non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 300/-
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM categories & DVC Departmental Candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
