Detailed Eligibility โ CISF Vacancy:
Educational Qualification:ย
Constable/Driver &ย Constable/Driver-Cum-Pump-Operator (i.e. Driver for fire services):
- The candidate should have passed Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board.
- Experience:ย 03 years experience of driving Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle or Light Motor Vehicles and Motor Cycle with gear.
Driving License: The candidate should have a valid driving License in the following type of vehicles:
- Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle;
- Light Motor Vehicle;
- Motorcycle with gear
Note:ย Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Government of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matriculation/10th class pass for service under Central Government
Age Limit (As on 04 March 2025):ย Between 21 to 27 years.
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is also relaxable to Government Servants including those serving CISF personnel in the rank of Constable (GD), Constable (Fire) and Constable (Tradesmen)
- Upto 40 years in the case of General, EWS and OBC candidates and 45 years in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, provided they have rendered a minimum 03 years of continuous service, completed their probation period satisfactorily, maintained a punishment-free record and have minimum annual grading of above โAverageโ during the entire service
- Upper Age limit upto 5 years is also relaxable further to the children and dependents of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat.

Selection Process of CISF Vacancy 2025:
- The selection process will be conducted in the following stages:
- PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test.
- OMR/ CBT mode written examination which will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English languages.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify the Height Bar Test (HBT) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be put through the following Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be qualifying in nature.
Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify Height Bar Test (HBT) will be screened for height, chest and weight by the Board of Officers.
Trade Test:
- Those who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test and Document verification will be put through the following tests.
- The marks obtained in Trade Test would not determine the merit position of the candidate since the Trade Test is only qualifying in nature
Documents Verification:
- Original testimonials/documents of the candidates who qualify in HBT & PET/PST will be scrutinized
Written Examination under OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:-
- The candidates who qualify in PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test will be called for Written Examination under OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode.
- The Written Examination will consist of one objective-type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with the following composition

- The minimum percentage of marks for qualification in Written Examination (OMR/CBT) for next stage will be as UR/EWS/ESM โ 35%; SC/ST/OBC 33%
- All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice type.
- The Witten Examination will be conducted in English and Hindi languages under OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode only.
- There shall be no negative marking
- The date(s) of examination will be informed to candidates only through CISF website https./icisfrecttcis.gov.in
- The questions in the Written Examination (OMR/CBT) will be of 10th standard (Science subject).
Merit List:
- After completion of PET/PST/DV, Written Examination (OMRICBT) and Medical Examination, State and category wise merit lists namely Un-reserved (UR), SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM will be drawn separately in respect of each State/UTs based on the performance of candidates in the Written Examination (OMR/CBT)
and number of vacancies allotted to the State/UT.
Medical Examination:
- Only those candidates who have qualified both the stages i.e. PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test and Written Examination, will be required to appear in Medical Examination (DME/RME).
- The number of candidates shortlisted for Medical Examination (DME/RME) will be about 2 (two) times of vacancies in each category
- The shortlisted candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards to assess their physical and medical fitness
