Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Recruitment 2021 – Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has announced a notification for the recruitment to the post of Fireman, Clerk, Driver, SI, JE, Steno Typist, DEO, Patwari, Supervisor, Office, others. There are 172 vacancies are to be filled for this posts. About Chandigarh Municipal Corporation: The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh, India was formed within the Union Territory of Chandigarh under the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act in 1976. The corporation was later extended to the union territory, Chandigarh, by the Punjab Municipal Corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act, 1994 (Act No.45 of 1994), which came in effect on May 24, 1994. Under a provision of Section 47 of the act, M.P. Tyagi was appointed as first Commissioner of the Corporation w.e.f. on June 19, 1995. Tyagi continued to exercise mayoral powers until December 23, 1994, when the first meeting of the elected body of the Corporation was held. Tyagi was succeeded as Commissioner by S.K. Gathwal on August 8, 1996

Educational Qualification:

Station Fire Officer:

Bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Fire) from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other recognized University/ Institution OR Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institution.

Fireman:

10+2 pass from a recognized board/ institution.

Driver:

Matriculate from a recognized Board/ Institution. Driving License of Transport vehicle. Five year’s experience of driving a Transport vehicle.

SDE(Civil):

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent. Degree obtained through distance education mode not accepted.

SDE (Hort):

M.Sc Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Horticultures of M.Sc Degree in Horticulture (including Floriculture, Olericulture) or M.Sc Degree in Botany with Horticulture as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent Or.
B.Sc (Agriculture) or B.Sc (Botany) or B.Sc (Horticulture) with Post Graduate diploma in landscape Architecture, Horticulture from recognized University or equivalent.
3 years experience in Horticulture including ornamental gardening ranging over various fields of Horticulture.

Accountant :

B. com from a recognized University. One Year Tally Certificate essentially required. Intermediate C.A./ICWA./CS will be preferred.

Sub Inspector (Enf.):

Graduate from the recognized University. Law Graduate will be preferred.

Jr. Engineer (Civil) :

Diploma in civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent.

Jr. Engineer (Horticulture):

B.Sc degree in Agriculture with Horticulture as a special subject 03 years course after 10+2 of recognized University/ Institute or equivalent.

Jr. Engineer (Public Health):

Diploma in Public Health/Sanitary/Mech./Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.

Jr. Engineer (Electrical):

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ institute or equivalent.

Draftsman:

Matric pass of a recognized Board/University or equivalent. ITI Draftsmanship diploma of at least two years duration in the relevant trade . 5 years experience in the trade as regular service. Knowledge of operating computer is must.

Clerk:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ institution and proficiency in operation of computer (Word processing and spread sheets) and a speed of 35 word per minutes in English typewriting.

Steno-typist:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institution and proficiency in operation of Computer (Word processing and spread sheets) and a speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography (English) and speed of 20 words per minute in transcripting the same.

Data Entry Operator:

Graduate from the recognized Institution. Data Entry Course of one year from a recognized institution having one year experience as Data Entry Operator. Should posses a speed of not less than 8000 keys depressions per hour for data entry work.

Patwari:

Matriculation of a recognized University or its equivalent or 10+2 pass. Patwar examination from a recognized institution. Preference to candidates with experience in revenue work.

Horticulture Supervisor:

Matric/Higher Secondary with certificate of Gardening Trg. of one year duration from recognized institute with 2 years exp. as regular service in landscaping and Hort. Work in supervisory capacity.

Jr. Draftsman:

Matric pass of a recognized Board/University or equivalent. ITI Draftsmanship diploma of at least two years duration in the relevant trade. 2 years experience in the trade as regular service. Knowledge of operating computer is must.

Computer Programmer:

Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Bachelor of Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
well acquainted with recent/ latest programming softwares and work. Atleast three years working experience in
aforesaid field.

Law Officer:

Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent. Three years experience as Advocate or should have held legal assignment involving work for 3 years
