Central Excise Kochi Jobs – Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification :
Assistant Halwai-cum-Cook:
- 10th class pass from a recognized Board with a Certificate or Diploma in catering from a recognized institute.
- One year experience in cooking
- A trade Skill Test for cooking including maintenance of hygiene shall be conducted to assess the suitability of the candidate.
Clerk:
- 12th class pass or equivalent with Commerce from a recognized university or Board.
- A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi correspond to 10500 key depression per hour or 9000 key depression per hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
Canteen Attendant:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board
Age Limit (As on 25 October 2024): Between 18 and 25 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxable for Government Servants upto the age of 40 years in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government).
Salary:
- Assistant Halwai-cum-Cook: Pay Matrix; Level-2 in the pay matrix (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200)
- Clerk: Pay Matrix: Level-2 in the pay matrix (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200)
- Canteen Attendant: Pay Matrix: Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900)

Selection Process of Central Excise Kochi Careers:
- The Selection Committee shall scrutinize the applications received and the short-listed candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for skill test, or typing test as per the post applied for.
- A written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates if deemed necessary.
