Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualifications:

Principal:

Master’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of marks.
B.Ed degree from a recognized University
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in any Government / Semi-Government / Government-recognized/Private reputed CBSE/SEBA affiliated Senior Secondary (10+2) School / College including JNV/KV
Good communication skills in English, Hindi and local vernacular languages.
Good interpersonal skills, management & leadership quality, administrative ability & integrity, and computer proficiency.

Post Graduate Teacher – Arts/Science:

Post Graduate Degree in Arts from a recognized University with a minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

Graduate Teacher-Arts/Science:

A Graduate in Arts with a Major (Honours) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks and
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

Graduate Teacher-Hindi:

Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks and degree qualification with 55% marks or post Graduate degree in Arts with 55% marks with Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks from any recognized University, or,
BA with 55% marks and having Hindi as one of the subjects with 55% marks or post Graduate in Arts with 55% marks provided that he has passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with 55% marks in Hindi
B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as BEd. degree only for the purpose of Hindi teaching).

Assistant Teacher-Arts/Science:

A Graduate in Arts from a recognized University with a minimum 55% marks and
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

Note: In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd. 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study center in the State and such study centers if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/ certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement. However, valid degrees/ diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.

Selection Process:

The selection process is based on Merit.
‘The shortlisted candidates shall be notified mentioning date, time and venue, through the aforementioned website of the DTE Assam and shall be called for verification of their original academic and other supporting documents Applicants
fter completion of verification process of original/ supporting documents, a selection list based on merit in the ratio of 1:3 (number of posts advertised number of candidates) shall be prepared and published in the aforementioned website and such candidates shall be called for a Teaching Proficiency Test.
The Teaching Proficiency Test shall be conducted through a duly constituted Panel/Board.
In this test, the communication skills, teaching methodology etc. of the candidates shall be tested After the Teaching Proficiency Test, position-wise.
Merit List of selected candidates shall be prepared and accordingly the final list of selected candidates shall be uploaded to the official website.
