CMFRI: The ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute was established by the Government of India on February 3rd, 1947, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and later, it joined the ICAR family in 1967. For over 75 years, the Institute has emerged as the world’s leading tropical marine fisheries research institute. Since its inception, the CMFRI has grown significantly in its size and stature, built up adequate research infrastructure and recruited qualified staff.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
- Essentials: M.Sc in Botany/MFSc in Fisheries Science with a Doctorate in Seaweed Physiology.
- Experience: Retired Officials with 20 years of experience in seaweed research, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Seaweed Tissue culture.
Duration of Post: The hiring shall be initially for One year, which may be extended or curtailed as per the requirement and satisfactory performance of the consultant.
Age Limit(As on 01 December 2023): Age should not be more than 65 years
Age relaxation: With relaxation as per the ICAR rules
Salary: Rs.60,000/- will be paid as remuneration. The amount of remuneration shall remain unchanged for the terms of the contract.
