UPPSC CSASE Exam 2024-Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Distt. Horticulture Officer. Group-2, Grade-1:
- B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Horticulture) degree from a recognised University or Institute.
- Preferential: M.Sc. (Agriculture) degree in Horticulture/Fruits/ Vegetable/Floriculture from a recognised university or Institute.
Principal State Food Science Training Center/food Processing Officer, Group-2:
- B.Sc. (with Chemistry as a subject) from a recognised University or institute or B.Sc. (Agriculture) from a recognised University or institute followed by two years Post-graduate Associate Course in Fruit and Vegetable Technology from Government Food Processing and Technology Institute, Lucknow or any other recognised institute, or M.Sc. (Food Technology)/M.Sc. (Food preservation)/M.Sc. (Food Science) from a recognised University or institute.
U.P. Agriculture Services Group B Grade-2 (Chemistry Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Chemistry, Soil Science or Soil Conservation from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Govt. as equivalent thereto.
- Preferential: Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Soil Conservation from a University estiblished by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
U.P. Agriculture Services Group B Grade-2 (Botany Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Botany or Post–graduate degree in Plant Breeding with Genetics; or Postgraduate degree in Botany with specialisation in Plant Breeding or Genetics; or Postgraduate degree in Forestry from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
- Preferential: Ph.D. degree in any of the above mentioned disciplines from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
U.P. Agriculture Services Group B Grade-2 (Agronomy Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agronomy from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
Preferential: Ph.D. degree in Agronomy from a university established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
U.P. Agriculture Services Group B Grade-2 (Plant Protection Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology or M.Sc. (Botany) with specialisation in Plant Pathology or M.Sc. (Zoology) with specialisation in Entomology from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto.
- Preferential: Ph.D. degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent to it.
U.P. Agriculture Services Group B Grade-2 (Development Branch):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent to it.
Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Agronomy Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agronomy from a recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture
Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Botany Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agro Botany or Plant reproduction with Science of origin or Postgraduate degree in Botany with speciality in genetics or plant reproduction must be a graduate in Agriculture.
Senior Technical Assistant Group-A (Plant Protection Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Entomology or Plant pathology from a recognized university or institution or M.Sc. (Plant Science) with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology must be a graduate in Agriculture.
Senior Technical Assistant Group A ) Chemistry Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Chemistry, Soil Science, Soil Conservation from a recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture
Senior Technical Assistant Group A (Development Branch):
- Postgraduate degree in the field relevant with agriculture from any recognized institution or university must be a graduate in Agriculture.
Notes:
- Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or
- Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
Age Limit(As on 01 July 2024):
- 21 years to 40 years (i.e. e. they must not have been born earlier than 2nd July 1984 and not later than July 01, 2003)
- For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1969
Age Relaxation:
- Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P. Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, U.P. State Govt. Employees including Teachers/Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and teachers/staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P
- Upper age limit shall also be greater by three years + Period of service rendered in Army for the Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers/ Ex-Army Personnels of U.P
Salary:
- The posts have the pay Scale of Rs. 9300–34800/-
- Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- (Revised Pay Scale Level–7 Pay matrix Rs. 44900–142400/-) to Rs. 15600–39100/-

Selection Process of CSASE Exam 2024:
- The selection process will be based on a Preliminary exam/Written Exam/Interview.
- The U.P. Public Service Commission shall hold a Preliminary Examination at various Centres of the Districts mentioned in the advertisement for selecting suitable candidates for admission to the Combined State Agricultural Services Main (Written) Examination 2024.
- The Main (Written) Examination shall be conducted separately by the commission.
- The selection will be based on total marks obtained by the candidates in the Main (Written) Examination and Interview.
- For some of these posts, recruitment shall be based on the total marks obtained in the written examination, according to the provision of the concerned service rules for such posts.
- The Commission shall inform the dates and venue for the Main examination later on through e-Admit Cards.
- Only such candidates who are declared successful will be called for interviews based on the main (written) examination.
- Candidates will have to fill up the prescribed application form before the Interview (viva-voce test)
- The no. of Districts/centres may be increased/decreased according to the decision of the Commission based on the final number of online applications received
