Detailed Eligibility – Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Vacancy 2024:
Educational Qualification:
Trainee Dock Pilots:
- Essential: Candidates should possess 2nd Mate (FG)/Dredge Mate Grade-I or B.Sc Nautical Science.
- Desirable: 1st Mate (FG)/Dredge Master Grade-II
Period of Engagement: 03 years (Contractual Basis)
Note:
- Selected candidates will undergo training for one (01) year, followed by an oral examination.
- Upon passing the oral examination, the candidates shall be eligible to appear before the Marine Service Board for obtaining Dock Pilot License.
Age Limit (As on 01 November 2024):
- B.Sc Nautical Science: 25 years
- 2nd Mate (FG)/Dredge Mate Grade-I: 30 years
- 1st Mate (FG)/ Dredge Master Grade-II: 35 years

Selection Process of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Jobs:
- The selection process will be based on interviews.
- The candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, shall be called for a Written/Proficiency Test and/or Personal Interview (as will be decided by SMP, Kolkata), the date, time and venue of which will be intimated in due course.
