Assistant (Accounts):
- B. Com with 40 wpm in typing
- Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Operation and Familiarization with MS Office
Assistant:
- Graduate Degree in any discipline from recognised University and 1-year course/ diploma/certificate in computer Application with MS Office & Typing Speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi
Driver: VIII class. Valid motor driving license for light vehicles
Electrician: ITI (Electrician)
Fitter: ITI (Fitter)
Turner: ITI (Turner)
Welder: ITI (Welder)
Storekeeper:
- ITI (Fitter/ Electrician/ Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance/Machinist/Instrument Mechanic/Lift & Escalator Mechanic/ CNC
Machining Technician/ Small Hydro Power Plant Technician/Wind Plant Technician) - Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Operation and Familiarization with MS Office

Selection Process for SJVN career:
For Workman Trainee (Electrician) / (Fitter) / (Turner) / (Welder) /(Storekeeper) / (Surveyor) –
- Selection process will consist of Computer Based Test.
- The minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 50% (50 Marks) for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% (40 Marks) for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- On the basis of merit of Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3 (maximum) for each post or as per the criteria decided by the Management.
For Workman Trainee Assistant (Accounts)/ (Driver)/ (Assistant)-:
- Selection process will involve Computer Based Test (CBT) and Trade Test.
- The minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 50% (50 Marks) for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% (40 Marks) for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- On the basis of merit of Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for Trade Test & Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3 (maximum) for each post or as per the criteria decided by the Management.
Trade Test:
- The Trade Test will be of qualifying nature only. Trade Test marks shall not carry any weightage in final merit.
- The qualifying marks for Trade Test will be 50% for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- For the post of Assistant Trainee, the candidate who passes one of the Proficiency tests (Hindi or English) and fails the other proficiency test (Hindi or English) will be considered for further selection process.
Format of computer-based test (CBT) :
- Exam Duration: 02 Hours
- Format of Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 100 marks
- Medium of Exam: English and Hindi
- Syllabus Section- I – 80 Multiple Choice Questions of the relevant Discipline/Subject
- Section-II -20 Multiple Choice Questions of Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Knowledge/ Awareness.
- Marking each correct answer will carry 01 Mark, and no negative marking for wrong answers. Further, no marks for unattempted questions will be assigned to the candidate
Application Fees for SJVN career:
- Candidate is required to deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs. 200/- + GST@18%
- SC/ST/EWS/ PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates exempted
Payment Mode:
- Debit card/ Credit card/ Internet banking details via which the payment of applicable application fee is to be made on online recruitment portal.
- The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances
